"Careful, careful, Trooper, they're doing something" Sadie says, pulling her dog away from two police officers in the park.

Trooper continues to bark at some barrel that the female cop is investigating. The male officer, who is standing a little away from the other officer, glances at Sadie and her labrador retriever.

"Sorry about him" Sadie apologizes, snapping and that gets Trooper to sit obediently.

"Bomb sniffer?" The male officer asks, gesturing to her dog.

"Yeah" Sadie answers.

"Air Force?" The officer guesses, seeing Sadie's bomb jacket that has the air force insignia on it.

"Yeah, found this dude in the Philippines on my last tour, brought him back to the states" Sadie explains, petting Trooper who is sitting like a good boy.

The officer nods before there is a minor explosion. Sadie turns, flinching the tiniest bit to see the female officer covered in some white powder. The male officer just smirks and walks towards his partner and Sadie takes the cue and walks away with Trooper.

"Whatcha doing?" Sadie asks, looking over at her best friend and roommate, Celina, who is surrounded by candles with weird aromas.

"Manifesting" Celina replies, sitting on the floor in the middle of their living room.

"Manifesting what, may I ask? Because I'm pretty sure this place is already haunted." Sadie says as she walks into the kitchen and starts to make coffee.

"Manifesting good luck" Celina answers.

Sadie rolls her eyes, playfully. "It's not going to be that bad"

"You say that now," Celina warns.

Sadie giggles at her friend's silliness.

"CeCe, I love and adore you, but you really need to stop worrying so much. We went to the Academy and did well enough to be placed in the LAPD. We're going to have training officers who teach us everything the Academy didn't, it'll be fine and if you decide police work isn't it, then your forensic science degree can get you anywhere" Sadie reasons, stirring some sugar into her coffee.

"You're so annoyingly sensible" Celina complains, leaving her manifestation circle and walking over to her best friend.

Sadie just laughs, handing Celina a cup of coffee. "One of us has to be"

"That's very Taurus of you" Celina grins.

"Still don't know what that means," Sadie laughs.

"You're hopeless" Celina rolls her eyes, walking to the door to grab her bag.

Sadie just smiles, grabbing her own work bag and leaving the apartment with Celina.

[Time Skip]

"hey" Sadie complains.

Celina is always the one to get nervous when it comes to social situations, so she always fidgets with Sadie's hand. However, Celina pinched her palm a little too hard.

"Sorry" Celina apologizes, but goes back to doing it.

The action just makes Sadie roll her eyes and smile at her best friend. She looks up when Sergeant Wade Grey enters the room.

"So, all right, first things first -- So, I'd like to congratulate Officer Lucy Chen for successfully completing the D.E.A. Covert Operations Training Academy, which is no small feat. Good to have you back, Officer Chen." Sergeant Grey says, starting roll call.
