Charley is already in bed when my phone rings, I'm hesitant to look at it. With a deep breath I look at the screen, it's Andrew's number. I let out the breath I was holding and hit the green answer icon.

"Hello?" I say tentatively.

I hear a controlled breath before, Andrew clears his throat. "Charlotte, my assistant just flagged an email from you as must read." He waits for me to respond, when I don't, he sighs and continues. "You're six weeks pregnant?"

"Yes." I say quietly.

"How long have you known?"

"For a month."

I hear a growl, "Why didn't you tell us right away?"

I roll my eyes at the phone. "I'm sorry, it's not like any of you keep in contact. I didn't know what to do, it's not like I planned this." I growl back at him. "I've been freaking out, dealing with heartbreak as well, it's been a bit much if I'm being honest." I take a few deep breaths to calm back down, I don't want to wake Charley up.

"What heartbreak?" Andrew demands.

"Excuse me? Do you not recall the three of you promising to be there for me? As soon as you went home absolutely nothing. What kind of message does that send? Oh yeah, I was just a fun for now, exactly like I said would happen. So, while you all went on with your lives, I have been trying to get over you!"

"Charlotte," Andrew sighs, "Time got a little lost, I'll agree. I, we haven't forgotten about you." He says quietly. "I miss you."

"So much so that you haven't called, texted or emailed?" I snap.

"And you've done the same?" He snaps back.

"No, I wasn't going to present myself as desperate. You three said I'd hear from you, I'm not going to throw myself at you like a desperate whore." I growl.

"No one said anything like that," I can tell he rolls his eyes. "It would have been nice if you reached out to remind us not to get so swept away in our work."

I roll my eyes at the phone, before I can think of a response, I hear a woman's voice through the phone. "Andrew baby come to bed, it's too late to be working still."

I blink disbelieving at the phone, "You have a woman over? Oh, sure you missed me alright."

"Charlotte-."

"Oh, fuck no! I'll send you updates on the baby, I don't want to hear from any of you!" I hang up the phone, rushing to my room to cry into my pillows. If tomorrow had been a workday, I'd have to call in. I can't stop crying, all through the night, then the next morning. The only thing that finally gets me to stop my pity party is my amazing son, he crawls into my lap. Softly patting my head, snuggling in to watch Pride and Prejudice with me. We both end up napping on the couch until dinner time.

I turned my phone off, I'd received calls from all three of them after I hung up on Andrew. After the fourth call, I decided fuck it, who needs the phone anyways and turned it off.

A knock sounds on the door, I jump making Charley laugh. I wipe my dry puffy eyes, I know I look horrible, there's not much I can do. With a sigh I get off the couch, racing Charley to the door swinging it open expecting Lindy to be on the other side.

I gasp, stumbling back into the bench with our hats, scarves and gloves. Charley launches himself at the three men crowding my entryway.

"Dads!" He cheers, "Mommy sad, you make her smile."
