I decided the bedroom directly across the hall will be the new baby's room. I'm having the guys pull all of the baby items out of the attic so we can start setting it up. We put the current twin bed in another room with a twin so that when the girls come to visit there will be space. Not that there aren't enough rooms, well with the guys all sleeping in the guest rooms there actually isn't enough. For now, that's how the arrangement is staying.
None of them have pushed the relationship since they started staying over for the weekends. They each can get a little touchy, more snuggly, but I don't mind that.
"I want the crib against this wall away from the window." I tell Andrew as he brings down the pieces of the crib and a bag of screws.
"Do you want this bassinet thing?" James calls from the attic.
"Yes, but we don't need it until the baby is here, it will go in my room." I call back.
"I'm bringing it down now, so we don't have to worry about it." He responds.
Michael brings the changing table, into the room. I forgot how much I love all the drawers under it. "Hmm, let's put that over here. The dresser crowds that wall."
"Have you thought about colors?" Andrew asks, he's now putting the bed together.
I frown, "That depends if we're having a boy or a girl. I'm kind of thinking lavender for a girl and maybe a kiwi green for a boy."
"That sounds fine." Michael says, "Better than this bubblegum pink."
I laugh, "Sorry about that, for some reason I wanted a princess room when I was younger."
Andrew shrugs, "The girls all keep going through phases, I swear they are growing up far too fast in the city."
"I wanted to talk to you about that." James clears his throat from behind me, holding Charley on one hip. "The girls really miss you and Charley." He sets Charley down, who runs into his room to go play.
I gesture for them to follow me downstairs, the snow has melted for the moment and we can actually sit outside on the porch chairs. I wrap a blanket around myself and sit on one of the chairs.
"I miss them too." I admit. "What are you thinking?"
"We have started talking to our boss about working remotely and have even started the transitioning process." James says. "I know we told you in the beginning and things went hay wire but we are in this for the long haul and would like to move in before the baby comes."
I narrow my eyes, "All six of you want to move in with me?"
"We could even add an addition on and let the girls have the rooms upstairs. That way we aren't in your space, but there will be room for us all." Michael says, eyes excited.
I let out a huff, "I need to think about this decision. Alright? That's a huge step, even if we were together." I glance over to Andrew, who looks a little suspicious. "What did you do now?"
He gives me a crooked smile that nearly melts my panties. "I have a little something planned for you and I in Bozeman."
My jaw drops open slightly, "Bozeman in like five hours away! That's not a quick trip."
He nods, "I know, that's why next weekend we'd like to take you and Charley, along with the girls and stay in a hotel. James and Michael can keep them entertained while I take you to the surprise."
My nose twitches, "Next weekend?"
"Yes."
"I guess that would be fine. Five hours, how are we all going to fit in one car?"
James grins at that question, "Part of the second surprise." He pulls out his phone, showing me a sleek black van. "It fits ten, so all of us plus room for the baby or two."
I shoot him a glare before glancing back down at the photo. "You bought a van for all of us?" Just like that the tears flow down my face, "I'm sorry, I'm really happy just, wow. I can't believe you'd do that."
James is the first to pull me into his arms, while I cry into his soft coat. I feel Michael, and Andrew as they all wrap me up in their arms. "I know words don't mean much to you right now, we're trying to show you how much we're in this with you."
....
They head to the airport shortly after, I'm at a loss of what to do. Charley is busy aligning wooden animals on a wooden board, the guys also got him one with numbers and letters. Of course, Charley is obsessed with all of the basic puzzle games.
I text Lindy, telling her what happened. I'm not sure what I expect her to say, nor if I'll listen to any advice, she gives but at least I have someone to vent to. I clean the whole house, even scrubbing the walls, while I try to figure out if I'm willing to let my baby daddies come live with me!
On the one hand it would be wonderful to have the girls here, I absolutely adore them. I couldn't work at the daycare with five children at the house, there is that to consider as well. I refuse to let them bring a nanny, cleaner, or chef into my house. I've been taking care of Charley and I just fine.
After far too much cleaning, I'm sore. So when it's time to put Charley to bed, I throw a homemade bath bomb into a warm bath. My phone pings with a notification, maybe it's finally Lindy responding.
Andrew: I already miss you. Good night beautiful.
I swallow down more tears that threaten to spill and text him back honestly.
Me: I miss you too, I miss all of you. Good night handsome.
I want to delete it as soon as it's sent, should I have said handsome? That was flirting! Should I really be flirting with him? The answer is no, I can't help the butterflies that flush throw me as I think of how much fun we could have if he was here with me tonight. I think these hormones are ruining my brain!
