Chapter One

If you told me three months ago, I would be following an 18 year old I don't know around, I'd say you were absolutely crazy. But here I am, sitting in my car a couple towns over from where I live, watching the brunette walk home.

I'm the crazy one now.

It started when I came over from my pack, to visit my sister. She is an English teacher in this pack. Well, when I met up with her for coffee an intoxicating smell hit me.

Vanilla and spice.

Turns out, it was one of her students. Who just turned 18. She had his hoodie in her bag, because he left it and she was going to drop it off to her Alpha, which happens to be his brother.

Well, I got her to show me who he is. Turns out he's 10 years younger than I am. He's still in highschool.

I lost my mate about ten years ago to a rogue accident. I didn't know I'd get a second chance at this. Within the past three months I've had a rollercoaster of emotions. I was upset, because I never wanted Ruby to be replaced.

I was mad, because why did I have to suffer for so long before the moon goddess decided I could get a second chance?

I was confused, because I didn't know I was into guys.

Then relief hit me, and it hit me hard. Because this was her plan all along. To take my mate, and give me another. I got to have epic love twice in my life. At least that's what I tell myself.

I wear a scent blocker, so he can't smell me. Because although I'm coming to terms with this, I'm not ready for him to know about me.

So I've been stalking him, like a creep.

I enjoy it.

He goes to therapy every Tuesday and Thursday, then he walks home alone. Rain or shine. He also goes to a local pizza shop, every wednesday and friday to get wings. Buffalo, 8 of them. With ranch. He picks the meat off each wing, 4 at a time, and then eats them. He sits in the same booth, and gets the same drink.

A large lemonade. His father, Zeke Williams, always goes with him. They're incredibly close. He's close with both his dads, and his siblings.

He has no friends, sad but true, My sister says he keeps his head down in school, and is always alone.

My poor angel has no idea what's going to change for him.

He makes his way into his house, and that's when I creep back into the dark corners of the forest, keeping hidden away. I can see into his window from here, and I wait until the light turns on before I make my way to my parked car. Then I'm driving back to my town, my pack.

"When are you going to make a move?" my sister, Olivia asks. She sips her coffee, and I pick at my muffin.

"Soon"

"You said that so many times. It's so weird seeing him in class and not being able to say anything" she pouts. Olivia and I are twins, her black hair and gray eyes are identical to mine. We have different facial features, but they are very common.

"I know" I nod, and pop a piece of muffin in my mouth. "I'm going to stop by your classroom at the end of day. And I'm hoping my lovely, beautiful sister will tell him to come to your classroom at the end of the day. So we accidentally run-in. "I tell her my plan, and she sighs.

"So much thought into meeting him. But yes, i will do it"

"I'm still struggling with the loss of Ruby, and having a new mate. I don't really know what to do with that information. But i know it's been three months, and it's not fair to keep him in the dark"

"But?" she asks, raising a dark brow.

"But I don't know what to do with someone a decade younger than me. Someone so different "I add, and she shrugs.

"He's a good kid. Different, but good. He's just quiet"

"I mean from what I've seen, he's not mentally stable. And I don't know how to help, or what to do with that. I don't know Liv, I've been freaking out."

"Well don't, we will set this up so you can meet him, and figure it out from there" she gives me a reassuring smile, and i nod.
