Alexander Williams
My body is heavy, it's dark and my whole body is at peace. My mind's at peace. Something tightens around my waist, and my hand is being squeezed.
My eyes start to flutter, and the white lights are blinding as I blink my eyes open. A groan rumbles from my chest, and I try to turn only to be stopped. There's a hard body behind mine, and the arms around me tighten. My eyes focus, and dad comes into view, turning.
Knox.
Our eyes lock, and his gray eyes are striking, tired. His blue black hair is ruffled and a mess. Then I noticed the blood on his clothes. My brows furrow.
Then it hits me.
The screaming, the glass in my arm, Knox holding me, whispering sweet things to me. I must be crying, because he's wiping my face.
"You okay angel?" he murmurs, his body tense beneath mine. I nod, frantically looking around. My eyes find Pops besides dad and then my head is being pulled to Knox.
"Hey hey" his voice wraps around my mind, blanketing the anxiety, the nausea, calming me down almost immediately. "Still with me?" A nod is all I can force out, and he's running his fingers into my hair. "You thirsty?" he asks, another nod.
A drink is in his hand in a second, with a straw. He puts it up to my lips, and I sip down the cool water. It soothes my scratchy throat, and my body relaxes into Knox. "Thanks' 'I mumble, after pulling off the straw.
"You okay baby?" Dad asks, coming into view. I glance at pops for a second, before looking back at dad.
"I'm sorry" I murmured, and dad shakes his head, squeezing my hand.
"Do you remember everything?" A nod, and he continues "You've been out for 36 hours now. When you woke up you ripped your stitches out." my eyes cut down to my bandaged up arms.
"I'm going back, aren't i?" my own voice doesn't sound like mine.
"Yeah baby, you are" dad murmurs, and squeezes my hand.
"Can I talk to Knox alone for a sec?" I ask, my eyes drifting to my parents.
"Of course. We will go get some food" Pops says, and they both get up, dad kisses my head and then pops. Then they leave. I turn in bed to face him. He's so relaxed and calm.
"I'm sorry you had to find out like this" i murmur "But this is just the start.. It doesn't go away. So if you could just wait til i get out to reject me, it would be better for me. I know that's selfish-"
"I'm not rejecting you" his words are harsh, and then he laughs. "If anyone even thought of rejecting someone after that they're nuts. But that's not why I'm not rejecting you. We're not getting into that now though."
"Why?"
"Because we need to keep your mood stabile, and i don't think hearing what i have to say will keep you stable"
"Will you visit me?" my voice is quiet, so so quiet.
"Is it okay if I do?" he murmurs, running his fingers through my hair. A nod is my only response before I fall back asleep.
Knox
He's been asleep for an hour now, his dads went home to shower and change. I'm going to head to their house to shower and borrow clothes when they come back. Layla comes in, a small smile on her lips as she carries a tray of food.
"Thought you might be hungry" she murmurs, setting the tray down on the table. She scoots it closer to me, so it's in reach and I groan quietly.
"You're a god sent" I mumble, eating the food. Nausea and nerves are a thick layer in my gut, but I haven't eaten in two days.
