CHAPTER 1

(The chapters before this was the prologue of how you and your lovebird met)

A New Superhero

As Aeon or... Uncanny Valley was flying through New York City, she finally reached her destination. Of course, she made sure to knock!

Y/N POV:

I have so much stuff to do!!! Piano lessons, homework, fencing classes, there are so much more!!! Ugh... I hate being the daughter of an actress/movie writer... I barely see my mom after she divorced my dad... Oh well... Time to do my homewo- *Knock knock* huh?

As I open my window I saw no one there... Until I heard a voice coming from the side. "Hello there. 'Little Lady' " I immediately turn my head. "Sparrow?" The robot girl chuckled. "No but close. I am one of Sparrow's teammates" "O... Kay... Why are you here?" I let the girl in and locked my door so my mom wouldn't come in to see a superheroine. Yeah... I just realized she's one of them...

"Congratulations, Y/n L/n. You have been chosen to be a superheroine. Welcome to the team" She pulled her hand out and revealed a watch. Wait... I was becoming a superheroine?! Why?!! "Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait! No! I'm not cut out to be a superhero! I barely have any training!!" I backed up a bit. "I understand if you think your not perfect for the job, but your the only regular human being brave enough to fight along side Sparrow with no hesitation. And going through your info and description, you know fencing, archery and more. With enough training and your skills, you will become a good enough hero to fight along side the rest of the superheroines"

"I don't know... It was just one fight and I barely helped out!" I sighed. "I understand if you don't want to do this, but the world needs you right now. I've gone through your entire history and I learned your not so ordinary. You are perfect to be one of us. I will not force you to become something you don't want to be, but at least consider" She put the watch in my hand and left through the window. I looked at the watch for a moment and sighed... So much has happened in my life... But this? Will being a superhero change everything?

This was a future me problem... I'm just gonna go sleep and home this is all just one confusing night. Tomorrow will just be another normal day... As a normal girl... With a normal life... I closed my eyes shut and slept...

The next day I woke up to a loud bang. In an instant I julted up and ran to the balcony and saw a building being destroyed. That building was close to the apartment building I lived in... But that didn't worry me... My mom was in that destroyed building!! I was about to change my clothes until my eyes landed on the watch. I stared at it, thinking if I should wear it or not...

"Ugh, fuck it!!" I took the watch and put it on. "How do I turn this thing o-? GAH-!" I pressed the inner circle of the watch not knowing it was a button. Suddenly, in a blink of an eye, I was wearing new clothes!

(Imagine what your suit looks like in purple and black or blue and white! Or do it your way, it's your choice! ^^)

"What... The... Fuck...?" I stood up and looked at myself in the mirror. I was different... My hair colour, my outfit, almost everything!! I also had a bag attached to my waste. I opened it up and saw some gear... I even had a- wait- A DAGGER?!!

Before I could explore more of my features, I had to find a way to get out of my room! I could go through the front door but some of my neighbors would see me! I guess I'm jumping off from the balcony... I had a jetpack so I guess I could escape with that?

At first, I hesitated, but I kept thinking of my mom... So I took one big sigh and jumped off, I turned on the jetpack and tried to fly there steadily but this is my first time!! So it took me a while to get the hang of it...

I landed not so elegantly but safely in the balcony of the building. It was a glass building so I saw CHAOS INSIDE-. But I also saw... "Sparrow???" I immediately went in and before they could get hit, I pushed them aside with me along. We both fell to the ground and I was... ON TOP OF HIM- "Uh... Who are you?" I immediately got off him and helped him up. "I'm... Uh... Shadow Mist/Wingbat?"

(Shadow Mist and Wingbat are the options of what your hero name is! I'll be using them differently from time to time, but mostly Shadow Mist)

"Okay then? Watch out!!" They pulled me away from a nearby beam. "Wha-" "So your the new hero Uncanny chose? Okay, let's see what you got, New Girl!" Sparrow ran away to fight with... Someone who looked like a villain... WAIT- THAT'S THE VILLAIN FROM THE NEWS!!! RAZZLE!!! I took out a spear. It was attached to my waist- HOW DID THESE THINGS EVEN SPAWN IN THIS SINGULAR WATCH?!! Nevermind that- FIGHT!!!

I used my spear to try and stab Razzle but he has these glitter bombs and it was making it hard to see him! After a while of fighting I heard someone yell. "RETREAT!" I don't know why but I followed them and exited the room, I heard an explosion! After we all got to safety everyone realized I was there. "Uhh... Hi?" Everyone pointed their weapons at me except Uncanny Valley and Sparrow. Sparrow immediately stopped them. "Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait!!! She's the new superhero Uncanny chose!!!" They turned to look at me and smiled. "She's one of us..."

(I'm using They/them for Sparrow and She/her for Jessica Keynes. And yes I am aware their the same person-)

Sparrow sighed. "Welcome, new girl. I'm Sparrow, you already met Uncanny Valley, so let me introduce you to the rest! This is Knight Owl! The leader of this team!" Knight Owl sighed. "Good to meet you" "And this is Majestia!" "Hello!" They all looked like a family... "Guys, this is Shadow Mist! Now that the introductions are done! What's the plan, sir?"

Knight Owl cleared his throat. "So, Razzle has a twin sister named Dazzle. We've gathered enough information to know that those two troublemakers are planning on giving this city a glittery makeover... We don't know how or when but all we need to do is capture them so they'll do nothing... Razzle left us a giant glitter bomb so we had to get outta there... We need to do teams... Me and Majestia will track down Razzle, you kids track down Dazzle. 'Kay?" Uncanny raised her hand. "I can fly over the city and try to track the bombs. So, that leaves with Sparrow and Shadow Mist to track the sister down"

Knight Owl nodded. "Alright then... Let's all split up. Goodluck to you all, and welcome to the team, Shadow Mist/Wingbat" Me and Sparrow left the building to track down this... Dazzle girl... "So, what does Dazzle look like?" "Like Razzle but more annoying..."

After the whole day, we couldn't find her at all... We sat down on top of the Statue of Liberty. I hummed and smiled as I looked down at New York City. "I forgot how beautiful New York is at night..." Sparrow looked at New York as well as the lights twinkled like stars. Sparrow chuckled. "Yeah, it's really nice up here..." I looked at them. "Quick question... If you'd go to any place in the world, where would you go?" "Oh, that's an easy question! Paris! There's a lot to see and do there!" I laughed. "Really? Same! You know, my uncle and my cousin lives there... We don't talk much but, eh... Those two are still family..."

"Can I ask you a question?" Sparrow looked at me. "Sure! Ask away, birdie!" "Okay so- wait did you just call me 'birdie'?" "Yes, next question!Also- What do you want me to call you then? Feathers?"
"You can call me anything you want! I've never been given a hero nickname before!" "Honestly, same..." "Since you gave me two, I'm giving you as well... Misty/Battie. Or should I call you 'Little Lady'?" "Do you call everyone you meet 'Little Lady'?" They shrugged. "Eh, I called a really pretty girl 'Little Lady' yesterday, she didn't mind, so..."

I blushed slightly. "Okay... Well, it's been a blast, but I gotta head home before my mom realizes I'm not in my room!" I stood up and helped Sparrow up aswell. "Alright then! See ya around, Misty/Battie!" "See ya around, Birdie!" We both parted ways and I went home... I guess being a superheroine isn't THAT bad...
