The Dark Truth

Normal P.O.V:

???: aaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH-!!!!!

Lightning: Does anyone hear that?

Tree: Yeah.. it kinda sounds like-

Fanny: OOF!

In an instant Fanny falls out of nowhere into Black Hole's arms leaving him shocked and flighty once more as he was fairly quick to drop her and keep a distance.

Black Hole: FANNY! I am SOO sorry! I have no control over myself a-and-

Fanny: Woah woah WOAH. Calm down, stress only makes situations worse! I would know. I'm not mad, actually I'm relived that you're still you. 

The blue desk fan takes a moment to examine her surroundings.

Fanny: So what is this place, your subconscious or something among those lines? 

Black Hole: y-yea..

Liy: Hold on Fanny, why are you taking this so casually? 

Pen: Yeah knowing you, you should be freaking out worse than some of us. 

Fanny: Please. If any of you guys have had the fever dreams my disabled mind randomly cooks up, you'd find this kind of scenario normal by comparison. 

Remote: That's actually a fair point. 

Black Hole curls himself up away from the group trying not to break down knowing that his friends are right behind him. He wants their support, he knows this and needs it but for some reason he just can't bring himself to let them all even get near him! The rest of the gang noticed this and sent Tree to consult him.

Tree: Hey Black Hole.. It's perfectly fine to be scared you have your reasons. I just want you to know that we're all here for you, everything's gonna be fine-

Black Hole: Fine? Tree haven't you SEEN what's going on out there? That's all ME! You don't understand the self induced DREAD and GREIF I endure almost every time I'm left with my thoughts. Every night feels like I'm in a constant battle with my instincts, these pangs of hunger telling me to devour everything around me! And I don't know how much longer I can keep this up! *long sigh* 

Black Hole: Look.. I care immensely about you guys, you're all the only things that have kept me sane lately But... But... I know things won't be like this f-forever.. you guys have plans for your future and I don't even know what I'm gonna do. I'm practically immortal but you... you guys have a limit to how long you can live. *sniff* 

As Black Hole begins to break down a black sludge-like substance leaks from his face and he can barely keep his voice clear.

Black Hole: I'm afraid that when you all inevitably leave me, I won't have anyone to keep my mind together and I could turn back into the gluttonous beast of death and destruction I was born as... 

Tree grew silent upon hearing his boyfriend's rant, and so did the others. For once there was a bad situation they couldn't fix.. the dark inevitable truth... Tree suddenly shook away his doubt and hugs Black Hole. 

Tree: The only way that'll happen is if you continue to doubt yourself like that. You're not wrong about one thing, everything has an end me included... and I can also agree that change can be scary. But one thing's for sure, even when we're no longer around we'll always be together. You're never alone, things change but... things still stay. 

Black Hole: ........

Tree: Let's go in the garden you'll find somethin waiting, right there where you left it lying upside down. When you finally find it you'll see how it's faded, the underside is lighter when you turn it around..~ 

As Tree sung to Black Hole the darkness all around them begins to fade leaving a brighter space.

Tree: Everything stays right where you left it, everything stays but it still changes, ever so slightly daily and nightly. In little ways where everything stays...~

Meanwhile in the real world Two checks on some of the students who woke up from their nightmares when he hears something. 

Two: Hm?

Black Hole: *humming* 

Two: Oh what do we have here? :)

Bot: Is he humming in his sleep...? 

8-Ball: Seeing how he's supposed to be in a nightmare, that's bizarre even for him. 

Mic: This is a good thing. Black Hole loves music, this means his friends must be doing something right. 

Two: She's correct. In fact I believe he'll wake up sooner then we may expect. 

Back in the dream world (err- well whatever's left of it) The rest of Death P.A.C.T. watch as Black Hole and Tree hummed the first verse together, they each looked to each other and nodded in agreement. 

Pie: You guys thinking what I'm thinking?

Pillow: Book kept nagging me about doing good deeds instead for good luck, I might as well see if she was on to something. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Bottle, Marker & Remote: Go down to the ocean, the crystal tide is raising~

Liy & Pie: Water's gotten higher as the shore washes out~

Lightning & Fanny: Keep your eyes wide open, even when the sun is blazing~

Pillow & Pen: The moon controls the tide, it can cause you to drown~

Death P.A.C.T - BH: Everything stays right where you left it, everything stays but it still changes. Ever so slightly daily and nightly, in little ways where everything stays..~

Black Hole: Where everything stays.~ 

With faith in himself is restored Black Hole shares a small smile with his 'tears' as everything fades and he wakes up. The moment he got up the rest of Death P.A.C.T. hop out of his head to be greeted by Two.

Two: And it looks like Black Hole's nightmare is over, good job Death P.A.C.T. I never had any doubt for you. 

Pen: Phew, glad that's done with. I don't ever want to experience any night terrors again. 

Tree: Hey Black Hole, where're you going?

Black Hole: I'm looking for Barf Bag, I have to apologize for what I indirectly caused to her. 

Lightning: Just a moment before you do that, I want to ask you something. 

Black Hole: What?

Lightning: I've got the whole group tickets to this year's Game Convention, I figured with everything you've gone through, you really need a chance to wind down and have more fun again. what do you think?

Black Hole: Convention hm...? Alright why not.

Lightning: Great! We leave at Monday during Spring Break.

(Author's NOTE: It would seem that Black Hole's suffering is finally behind him, and the team have already made plans for Spring Break. How nice.)
