What is love..?

Normal P.O.V:

Remote's father sits on his couch reading when he hears a knocking at his door. 

Clicker: Coming!

He sets the book down and heads to the front door, when he opens it he finds his beloved daughter with a perplexed look to her face. 

Clicker: Hey there sweetie, what brings you to visit me?

Remote: I think something is wrong with me. 

Clicker: Oh dear, uh- come inside I'll fix you right up.

The older model device brings his child in his home, afterwards she sits atop a maintenance table.

Clicker: So, what's bothering you? 

Remote: My sensors randomly overheat, my energy core gets a burst of energy when I'm not even moving a lot and I suddenly feel anxious. I don't know why but it mostly happens around my classmate ruby.

Clicker: I see... honey there's nothing broken or unfunctional with you. You've just had your first crush. 

Remote: I'm not crushed though.

Clicker: No no no, crush as in fallen in love. 

Remote: Oh

Clicker: Do.. you know what love is sweetie?

Remote: I know Black Hole and Tree fell in love with each other. Have you been in love before?

Clicker scratches the back of his head sheepishly. 

Clicker: In a way... I'll tell you another day. For now though, why don't you try talking to this Ruby girl sometime? She sounds quite sweet. 

Remote nods, hops off the maintenance table and heads back to her home to think. That following day she looks around the park and finds FreeSmart and Fanny at the gazebo.

Remote: They must be initiating Fanny. 

She approaches the group as they celebrate their newest member, Fanny forces herself out of the group and spots Remote. 

Fanny: GAH-! Oh Remote, I've already had enough of them. You deal with them. 

Pencil: What did we do now? 

Book: Most likely just drain her social battery with all the excitement, she is a bit introverted after all. 

Bubble: That's true, she'll be back though. Oh hi Remote. 

Remote: Hello. May I speak with Ruby please?

Ruby: Hiya Remote, what's up? 

Remote tenses up again at the sound of Ruby's cheery voice, small bits of steam can even be seen seeping from her body. 

Remote: I.. I.. You wanna go... to.. the.. arcade... with me.. to.. day?

Ruby tilts in head curiously before she responds. 

Ruby: I'll.. have... to.. speak.. with... Pence-Pence.. about... it.. *chuckle* 

She runs off to Pencil and back in a shot moment. 

Ruby: I'M FREE TODAY! LET'S GO!

Remote: Yay- WOAH!

Ruby grabs Remote's arm as they run over to the arcade. 

Later that night...

Clicker waits at his daughter's living room excited to hear about her first ever date. Finally Remote arrives however that excitement turns to concern as Remote hangs her head down with her usual smile absent. 

Remote: ......

Clicker: Oh dear.. Remote, sweetie-

She goes upstairs without another word basically ignoring her father and into her room, once there she face plants onto her bed lying motionless. Her father peeks through her door and slowly opens it but stays by the door frame.

Clicker: Is.. is everything okay Remote?

Remote: ...

Clicker: I'm guessing she didn't feel the same.. did she?

Remote: ...

She takes her pillow and holds it over her head still remaining quiet and lacking of motion. Just then Black Hole shows up with a similar amount of excitement of her father only for it to be shot down by seeing her sad. 

Black Hole: Remote, You here? I heard from Fanny that you had a date- oh no what happened?

Remote: I will never love again...

Black Hole: dose that mean- you won't love me anymore too..?

Remote: ...

Remote: I will never love romantically again...

Clicker its on the side of Remote's bed with her, he holds his arm out offering a hug which she gets up and takes with oily tears in her eyes.

Remote: I do not understand.. is it me?

Clicker: Oh no no no Sweetie no. There's nothing wrong with you, these things happen with tons of people. It just wasn't meant to be... 

Clicker: You know, I was once in the same boat as you when I was your age.

Remote: You were?

Clicker nods.

Clicker: I had a massive crush on some but.. he felt otherwise. Never the less, it helped me learn how I can improve as a person and as a father. Whether you even plan to find someone else or not is completely up to you, but know this you'll always have your family to talk to be sad around. 

Remote was still in tears but a small smile came to her when the two remote devices hugged together, Clicker glanced to the door and spoke to Black Hole.

Clicker: C'mon big fella, you count as family too. 

Black Hole: I.. I do?

Clicker nods as Black Hole sits himself on the other side of Remote and joins in on the family hug assuring her that everything will be okay and that she can be sad. The three of them would remain like this for most of the night before Remote decided to get some sleep. But her Dad and big brother would stay downstairs if ever needed.
