Summer Carnival

Tree's P.O.V:

What is your favorite thing to do in summer? Mine is when the Carnival comes to town, I've been wanting to take Black Hole to it for months, I somehow lost my chance last year but today I managed to remember. As we got in Black Hole looked around mesmerized by the sights and sounds all around us. 

Black Hole: Wow... what is this place?

Tree: This, my fallen star is the Carnival or Fair or Amusement park as some would call it, It opens every summer offering tons of exhilarating rides, fun games and so much more. It's an ideal date spot this time of year. ;)

I grab his arm and prompt him to follow me as we go to check out a few of the games the Carnival has to offer, our attention gets grabbed by a certain someone screaming at one of the carnies.

Fanny: NO, THIS GAME IS RIGGED! I SHOULD BE ABLE TO HIT THAT STUPID BELL!

Carnie: Just admit defeat little lady, you just aren't strong enough. 

Fanny: GRR! I'LL SHOW YOU STRONG ENOUGH YOU LITTLE-

Bubble: Fanny calm down, we're in public! Let's just try another game.

This girl really doesn't care if she makes a scene. Black Hole and I head over to see what exactly is going on. 

Black Hole: What's going on here?

Bubble: Oh hey guys, Fanny's been trying to win a prize out of this high strike. 

Fanny: YOU JUST THINK I AIN'T STRONG CUZ I'M A GIRL!

Tree: Why don't you give it a shot Black Hole? 

Black Hole: Sure. 

Tree: Oh and sweetie.

Black Hole: Hm?

Tree: Don't worry about holding back, these high strike games are very tough.

Black Hole: Are you sure?

Tree: Completely sure. ;)

I step back along side Bubble and Fanny as Black Hole pays the play fee and is handed the mallet. He takes a moment to ready himself and with a hint of his unbridled strength slams the mallet on the thing so hard the puck rockets through the sky knocking the bell clean off the high strike, the said puck was out of sight within seconds. 

*DING* 

I kept my laughter to myself as the carnie's jaw dropped at Black Hole's power. 

Carnie: Help yourself... anything from the top shelf. 

The four of us each chose a stuffed animal and continued to walk around the Fair. 

Fanny: That was AWESOME!

Bubble: How much of your strength did you use on that High Strike Black Hole?

Black Hole: I'll say this much I used more than I normally would but that still wasn't all of it, if I used ALL my strength the Earth would split in two. I'm not exaggerating. I still feel as if you set me up for that Tree.

Tree: What? No, not at all. Well you two have fun, Black Hole and I are going to check out some more of the attractions. 

Bubble: Bye!

Fanny: See ya!

We both part ways with Fanny and Bubble and make our way to the Tunnel of Love when we spot someone near it doing some maintenance on it. 

Black Hole: Doesn't look like this one is available.

Tree: Let's ask the mechanic and see if it'll be operational again. Hey excuse me, will the Tunnel of Love be open again- 

Test Tube: Oh hey there fellas, I was expecting you two to be here at the fair. Especially you Black Hole. 

Tree: Test Tube! You work here?

Black Hole: And what do you mean about expecting me?

Test Tube: I do this year. And to answer your question Black Hole, I figured you'd want to see the Fair wanting to experience everything Earth has to offer after all. I also of course remember that trampoline debacle from the school festival so I asked for approval to upgrade the rides to better handle your... density... without breaking down.  Which was easy as my Uncle works for the Fair.

Black Hole: You did all that for me??

Test Tube: Of course, I'm all about using my smarts to help people. 

Tree: That's really nice of you Test Tube, when is this ride gonna be open?

Test Tube: I actually just got done, have fun you love birds. I'll be over at the Ferris Wheel. 

She picks up her tools and walks off, we both pay for administration and hop onto the next swan boat. Well... Black Hole still seemed hesitant. 

Tree: Don't worry sweetie, nothing bad is gonna happen from you getting on. Test Tube made sure of it. 

Black Hole: Right.. 

He slowly steps in and while the swan boat did rock a bit, it didn't sink. And with that we begun to flow into the tunnel, while we can't quite kiss each other this experience was still as romantic as I hoped as I lied wrapped in Black Hole's arms and mine around him.
