The Betrayed Chronon Shifter

Part 1

3:45 PM.

December 1st, 2134.

Japan, Mustafu, Dagobah Beach.

Eri, Mom and I were on the populated beach, everyone enjoying an out of season hot day as a break from the cold snowy winter.

"Izuku sweetie? How're your classmates handling the Hero Billboard Chart update?" Mom asked from her towel.

After I'd begun training for UA Mom felt embarrassed about her own figure, but instead of asking me to stop she began training of her own, her figure regained that same slim look it had when I was a child and her confidence soared.

"Most of them are fine, still getting used to the fact that All Might isn't Number 1 anymore" I answer, watching Eri build her sandcastle.

But I knew what she was really asking.

How was Todoroki feeling after his father finally achieved his dream of surpassing All Might and becoming Number 1.

"Todoroki said his father keeps incinerating he training room. So I'd say he's pissed he gained the position due to All Might's retirement. Todoroki himself seemed a bit quieter but he quickly bounced back"

"Glad to hear it. His visits with his mother still going well?"

I perk up. "Yeah! In fact he texted me just this morning, they expect her to be released in a few weeks, with a trial run on Christmas"

"Really? That's great!"

A sudden chill fills the air and Eri came back up from the water.

"Papa, it's cold"

I look up and see storm clouds rolling in.

"Funs over snowball, rain is coming" I lift her into my arms apologetically. "It's about time we left anyways, I gotta get us back to UA"

She nodded and I pulled her clothes from the bag we put our clothes in and put them on over her swimsuit, an adorable little green thing Yaoyorozu styled after my own Hero Suit.

I dress up again and find Mom had packed up.

"I'll carry it Mom" I called, lifting the large umbrella and chairs we brought, five percent of One For All enhancing my arms.

We began the twenty minutes walk back to the apartment, watching the clouds carefully.

"It's going to be a bad storm. You sure you can make it back before it hits?" Mom asked, looking back at me.

"Yeah, most of the trip is by traaaaiiiii-"

Everything slowed to a crawl as a powerful stabbing sensation floods my brain.

{DANGER!}

I sense danger to Mom, Eri and I as power up to 10% of One For All, energy sparking out from me as I turn my head towards where I felt the danger.

It was Mom- no it was behind her.

I dive towards her, dropping the umbrella and folded chairs at my feet.

But even as I crossed the distance I watched as Mom face shifted.

At first I thought it was her feelings the danger but her head seemed to grow...

Larger.

No.

I watch in slow motion as her head slowly exploded from the back outward.

I watch the bullet slowly spiral through her forehead, judging by the trajectory it's going to hit Eri!

Without even thinking, I access more of One For All, my right arm moving as fast as normal even as time seemed to drag on.
