☠︎︎"She's lying! She didn't hear shit."︎︎☠︎︎
'WHAT WOULD YOU DO FOR HIM?' Played over and over through Isabell's mind like a broken record. The dark husky voice appeared in her dream out of nowhere, she had never heard it before yet she felt like she should fear it. Its cold tone sent a sharp pain shooting through her head as if it were so cold that it gave her brain freeze. She could practically taste the bitterness of the word's true meaning in her mouth.
HE WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR YOU.
Luke slaughtered a chimaera for her. He endangered his golden boy position at camp by becoming her best friend. He constantly broke rules for her. And if it ever came to it there's no doubt he'd sacrifice his life for hers. He would do anything for her and it was terrifying for Luke when he came to this realisation, he'd crumble to his knees and worship her like a God if Izzy asked.
WHAT WOULD YOU DO FOR HIM?
But what would I do for Luke?
It was daunting to think about. How strongly you could feel about one person. Knowing she'd die happily saving him. Knowing she would never be able to control herself fully because of them, because of Luke. How cruel was the world for putting them in this life together, the lives of demi-gods who had a very short expiration date.
When two souls fall in love, there is nothing else but yearning to be close to one another. Like a magnetic force taking over their bodies. A connection that is satisfied by being near each other skin to skin. Souls don't know their expiration dates. They only know it feels right to be with one another. An unstoppable force that can't be disconnected even by the Gods themselves. It's the most dangerous string of fate that can't be snipped by any kind of scissors.
But it was too confusing for Izzy to comprehend, how you could love someone like that. How her person could be Luke? She shouldn't even be thinking about this right now! On a quest with children, she was supposed to be keeping alive but her thoughts kept drowning her out of conversations.
Isabell Ivory thinks too much, everyone who knows her also knows that. The little voice in her head never stopped talking, and you could always tell just by looking at the puzzled expression that lay on her face. And the reason for the voice's constant yapping was because Isabell didn't have friends growing up, just her and her mother, and the voice made her feel less alone. It would talk and talk about anything because Izzy had nobody else to talk to, so the little voice stuck and after she made friends it got jealous and became something that wasn't as sweet anymore. It's a burden that she can't get rid of. It's a constant reminder of who she truly is.
"She's getting on my nerves with the zoning out thing." Percy glared at Isabell as she faced the window, staring blankly at the scenery in front of her. She was unconsciously biting her nails, accidentally drawing blood from how rough she was being.
