Freen's POV
The morning sun filtered through the sheer curtains, casting soft gold patterns on the walls. I blinked against the light, rolling over lazily-only to be met with a snore that did not belong to me.
What the hell?
Nam was sprawled beside me, separated only by a flimsy pillow barrier she must've set up like we were ten-year-olds at a sleepover. Her arm was flung over the pillow, dangerously close to my face.
I nudged her with my foot. "You little shit. Wake up. What the hell are you doing in my room?"
She groaned and buried her face deeper into the blanket. "It's Becky's room, genius. You're not dating her, Freen."
I scoffed, eyes narrowed. "Shut up. She's just a junior."
Nam lifted her head, one eyebrow raised, and blinked slowly. "Wait-what? I thought you two were getting along quite nicely." Her smirk was the kind of smug that deserved to be smacked off.
This b*tch.
"As friends. For your information, I'm not interested in her," I said, smirking as I smacked her arm for effect.
Nam chuckled like a gremlin. "Right, right. You're not interested, but your eyes turn into sparkly anime lights every time she walks into the room." She yawned dramatically.
I nudged her again. "You'll eat a mosquito for breakfast if you keep that mouth open."
She clutched her temple as if I'd wounded her pride. "I really hope you're not catching feelings."
The teasing in her voice was loud. Annoyingly loud.
"Shut your filthy mouth," I snapped. "I just wanted to be her friend."
She blinked slowly, soaking in my defensive tone like it was hot tea. "Wow. What's wrong with everyone lately?" she muttered. "Noey befriends Irin, and now you're besties with Becky?"
"Shut it, gremlin," I muttered, flopping onto my back.
She laughed-and damn it, I giggled too.
Just when I was about to threaten to smother her with the pillow barrier she so carefully built, she wrapped her arms around me in a surprise hug and whispered, "Freen is in loooove, huh? I seeeee."
Before I could push her off or yell something very unladylike, the door creaked open.
And there she was.
Becky.
Standing in the doorway like a dream and a disaster all wrapped into one.
Becky's POV:
When I opened my eyes, I found myself tangled between Char and Irin, both clinging to me like I was a human-size plush toy.
And Irin-oh, for the love of sanity-had her leg over me and her face smooshed into my shoulder like I was her emotional support giraffe.
"You bitch, let go!" I groaned, trying to wriggle free without punching her in the throat.
"Becca, don't shout in the morning," Char mumbled with her face still buried in a pillow.
"Char, open your damn eyes and look at the clock-it's already 8:30."
"WTF!" they yelled in sync, suddenly sitting up like possessed zombies.
"I need to make breakfast for Noey!" Irin leapt off the bed like someone set her on fire.
