(This chapter is written from Gerard's PoV. Yes there will be dumb things in this chapter but ALSO there will be really sweet, corny things so.. Just a heads up. It's mostly fluff in this chapter. Enjoy! :D)
- Gerard's PoV -
I ran outside, followed by Bandit and Hailey. I didn't really think about the fact that I needed the materials and not JUST the idea. I ran back inside and there were Bandit and Hailey again, right next to me as if they were on some wild goose chase. What was even better was they were trying to keep up really hard and they were out of breath. They were cute kids.
I ended up back inside of the kitchen. "So uh.. Yea, I forgot what I needed.."
I opened up her fridge and found the leftover bottle of cola from the night before. It was only about half empty, MAYBE???
I wandered off into her backyard, having the soda and gathering some other ingredients from her cupboards while she wasn't looking.
I found a small stuffed animal, old and warn out laying on the ground a few feet away. It seemed like it had been left out here to be forgotten for ages to come, so I plucked it from the ground and pulled the already loose strings from it. These would come in handy for the project!
Bandit and Hailey arrived just in time for me to shun them into the house to get me more supplies. I needed empty water bottles. I had a few ideas but since we had left over soda I decided to waste it on something FUN.
They came back each with one empty bottle, lid screwed on and all.
I thanked them and then tied the strings I pulled from the animal to the lids of the bottles, making sure the knots were good and tight so the string wouldn't just pull off and ruin the whole thing. I picked up a little board that was laying over part of the ground. She doesn't need this, does she?
Bandit ran inside and acquired some duct tape from Riley, bringing it out to me in a hurry. She and Hailey talked and sat on a small bench across the lawn once I had finished running them in and out of the house. They sat and watched me work with all the things they brought me, and they looked very proud of me and themselves for using the supplies they worked so hard to bring me.
Filling each bottle with half of the left over soda, I capped them just loose enough to be pulled off by string but tight enough to not leak, and flipped them upside down onto the board. I doubled up the duct tape and stuck the bottles to the board like that, so the caps would untwist and instead of the whole thing exploding just the bottles would go flying.
I called the girls over when the contraption was done, and they scuttled over as fast as their little legs could carry them.
"What is this gonna do..?" Bandit inquired, looking at the contraption in front of her.
"Well, I don't want to ruin the surprise, but here is what the plan is alright..?" I smiled slyly at both of the girls, extending my arms for them to stand in so that it was like a little football huddle. I was kneeling down, so it wasn't a COMPLETELY UNFAIR huddle.
"What we are going to do is lure Hailey's mom out here right," I paused to look at the girl, who nodded softly at me. "and we wanna bring her to the middle of the yard. You and Hailey can pick two of anything you want, and the deal is if your mom gets tricked successfully I'l buy both of you what you want. If it doesn't work, you have too..." I though for a moment, looking at Bandit on this one. "YOU have to let me have free cuddles for a month, whenever I want." I smiled softly at her.
Both girls nodded for their terms, and we broke the huddle. Hailey hurried inside to get her mom, and Bandit stayed with me to think of the two things she wanted. We brainstormed and came to the conclusion that she wanted to go to the aquarium if she won in the deal. We shook on it and we pinky-promised not to break our deals.
