Gerard stayed for a while after they left to make sure everything was okay and I wasn’t going to go track them down and kill them.

I was sat with Hailey on my right and Gerard on my left, with bandit next to Hailey.

We were playing a videogame until I quit and so did Gerard, leaving the two kids playing a racing game.

There was an Ice pack wrapped around Hailey’s head. I had used one of my ties to tie it to her head.

Gerard yawned from next to me and I looked over. He stretched his arms above his head and then folded them behind him, resting his head back against them.

“Are you calmer now?” He glanced at me.

I smiled sheepishly. “I guess so..” I stated, then quickly added

“But next time let me break her fucking fake nose so she’ll have a reason to get a new one!” I growled and he moved one of his arms so he could pat my shoulder.

“Don’t kill anyone okay? Not yet. Wait till’ your daughter is like, 19. Maybe 20. The kill whoever you wanna.” He smiled.

“Yeah. I’ll buy a bat mobile and go around killing people.” I smirked.

“Oh thank god I’m not the only nerd in the room.”

I laughed lightly and smiled. “So how about that coffee that I never got around to making?” I asked, standing up.

“Sounds good to me.” He smiled

“May I have more soda?” Bandit looked up at me.

I smiled. “Sure thing hun.” I ruffled her hair which she quickly fixed and looked to my daughter.

What about you Hails?”

“Yes please!” She smiled and looked up at me for a split second before looking back at the screen.

I picked up the girls’ large drinking cups and brought them into the kitchen.

I heard footsteps behind me and turned my head to see gerard standing a few feet away by the refrigerator.

“Gonna sit on my counter again, NERD?” I asked, smirking.

He rolled his eyes and chuckled. “I was gonna be helpful and get the kids their soda.” He said, taking the cups as I set them on the counter.

“Fine, but don’t you fucking make a mess or I’ll slit your throat.” I threatened him.

He smiled. “No promises.”

I could hear Bandit and Hailey giggling from the living room and I smiled to myself as I started the coffee pot.

I heard something fall and I turned to see Gerard had done EXACTLY what I asked him not to.

“Shit.” He mumbled under his break and looked around almost helplessly.

I smirked and looked him up and down.

He had filled one of the cups up to much and as he went to walk it spilt over the side, running down his arm to his elbow.

He looked extremely displeased, and gave me a ‘help’ look.

I just burst into a fit of laughter after watching him stand like a statue with his face knit into a very unhappy expression.

“This isn’t funnyyyy..” He whined.

It was funny, because it wasn’t his bare arm the soda ran down, it was down a sleeve.

“This is hilarious. Do you KNOW what face your making right now?” I asked, composing myslef again.
