While running Harper slowed down to be farther away from Omega. So she sticked beside Crosshair, he noticed but didn't say anything about it.
"The Marauder!" Omega pointed ahead of them.
They ran up the stairs quickly, except for Crosshair. Harper noticed then stopped halfway through the steps.
"Come on, Cross, we need to leave now!" Harper says angrily.
He crossed his arms.
"I told you I was only going to help you till you get back with them. I told you I'm not going with you."
Harper's blood was boiling now.
She walks down a couple steps, she's still shorter than him but because of the stairs she is now face to face with him.
"Can you stop being like this for 5 dang minutes! Do you seriously think the empire will let you back in after you helped us?! No! So come on!" Harper says furiously with narrowed eyes.
He continued to hold eye contact.
"Over here!" A voice yelled not that far away.
"Harp! Get in here! We need to leave, now!" Hunter shout.
She grabs his arm roughly and pulls him up the ship stairs. Then shoved him in. She stormed off because of how pissed off she is.
the door closed quickly.
"Tech get this ship into the sky, now!" Hunter shot.
"On it!" Momentarily it went into hyperspace.
————some time later————
Tech was snoring in a chair. Wrecker was sleeping on the floor with Omega in his arms while hunter was in the front flying the ship. Harper was sitting on top of her bed with her knees up to her face.
"Are you don't yet?" She heard a voice then peered over her knees to see who it was.
"What do you want, Cross...?" Harper mumbled.
He leaned against the bed frame then put a toothpick in his mouth.
"Get down here." Crosshair says and she shook her head no.
Crosshair groaned out of annoyance then mumbled something like 'the things I do for you'.
He threw his sniper up on the top bunk then made his way up and sat beside her. She hid her face behind her knees.
He knew it makes her uncomfortable asking questions so he was completely fine with silence. He also knew how much she needs someone around when she's like this.
He started cleaning his sniper. She sniffed a little.
"Wrecker, wake up. I heard a noise." Omega whispered from below them.
"It's nothing. Go back to sleep, kid."
"I gonna go check up on Hunta."
"Just make sure to not wake Harper or Crosshair."
...
"Wait? Where are they?!"
"I dunno, goodnight."
Both Crosshair heard little footsteps run into them Cockpit then Wrecker snoring loudly.
"I don't even get what they see in the kid..." Harper says.
"She doesn't deserve to be apart of them. She's not like us and she never will be. They should get rid of her. She's just going to slow us down."
Harper takes a breath to calm down herself.
"Yeah..."
————
Without Harper even noticing she fell asleep. She woke up and saw that Crosshair was by her side and was still cleaning his sniper.
Hunter walked through and gave Crosshair an angry side eye as he walked by.
"He still doesn't trust you?" Harper asked.
"I don't have anything to prove. If he doesn't trust me then he doesn't trust me. I don't care." He jumps down. Harper did the same but didn't land as gracefully.
"Did you even fall asleep?" Harper asked.
"No. You know I barely sleep, kid."
"I'm 16, I'm not that young anymore."
"Sure you're not."
She noticed the Marauder landed on a planet.
Wrecker came in.
"Ahaha! Look who it is, we missed you!" Wrecker shout then grabbed Crosshair into a hug.
"Sure you did," Crosshair said sarcastically. "If you did so much then why didn't you come back then, huh."
He lets him down.
"Well, uh, I—"Crosshair cuts Wrecker off.
"Uh, huh. Exactly." He walks away and goes outside.
Harper looks at Wrecker angrily.
"Really?!" Harper says to him.
"What I didn't—" He stopped himself as Harper ran off after him.
"She's very... tenacious about getting Crosshair back." Tech says.
"I don't trust him. He still has his inhibitor chip. He can turn at any moment. It's too dangerous we have to get rid of him." Hunter says.
"You know if he goes she'll try to go, they're a package deal."
"He's betrayed us. He's lost our trust and respect."
"I disagree," Tech says. "Perhaps, he did 'betray us' but he's still our brother. We don't give up on our own, no matter what. I thought you would understand that most of all but I suppose I was wrong."
He walked away.
"Woah...is Tech mad at you? Because he sounded mad." Wrecker said in disbelief.
"He not...well—" He stops himself as omega walks in.
"What's up with you, kid?" Hunter asked as he observed her sad expression.
She gave a small smile to them but not enough for her to keep it across her face.
"Yeah, what's wrong? Who?!" Wrecker says.
"It's nothing really," she forced a smile. Then changed the subject. "Why are we on this planet?"
"We're doing a quick mission first to get money. Then we're...going to see a a clone named Rex and his brothers Cody and Fives. They're good people. They're very excited to meet you."
