Star Wars: The Bad batch

The grand plan

Hunter had a furious expression on his face. Harper took a slight step backwards. A couple seconds later the rest of the batch walks out of the shadows.

"Hi..." Omega waved from behind Harper with a guilty expression and a fake smile; the kind of smile when you know you're in deep trouble.

"Listen, I know this looks bad and all, Hunter, but—"Hunter cuts Harper off by grabbing her arm.

"I am extremely disappointed in you Harper!" Hunter shouts. Harper stayed silent.

"I knew what to expect from you," Hunter says angrily then he looks at Tech. "I expected better from you."

Tech slightly straightened up and gave him a quick glare. After a second he fixed his goggles.

Hunter looks at Harper again and his eyes narrowed then he looked down at Omega slightly then back to Harper.

"And even worst you brung Omega along! You know how dangerous it is!" Hunter yells.

"I came with to protect them, they were safe." Tech says as he flies the ship.

Hunter was about to start again until Harper cut him off.

"I was going back for him. At least I wasn't going to leave my own behind!" Harper says and it showed over Hunter's facial expression that, that sentence hurt him emotionally.

"Why are you just acting like you all don't even care about him anymore!" Harper says to Hunter then looked at the rest of the squad behind him.

"Harper—" Echo started but she cut him off.

"No! I'm so sick of these excuses! I'm going and you're not going to stop me." Harper says angrily.

"Yeah," Omega sticks up for her. "She has a point."

"Wrecker!" Hunter growled.  He sighs.

"On it." Wrecker starts walking forward. Harper looks up at him with a look of hatred.

"There's no need for this." Tech said as he looked over his shoulder. "It's like she said we're going, I have a plan. It'll work. So, get your acts together and listen.

Hunter and Echo both give each other a look then look back at Tech. He was putting it in autopilot, after he finished he turned his chair to face them and had his datapad in his hand.

"Listen, this is Crosshair. We all know Crosshair very well, he was our brother,"

Is Harper autocorrect in her head.

"We know that the empire just started and they'll most likely give Crosshair a test to see if he is loyal and I was thinking, it must be with Saw because we failed. So by the time we get there he should be back any minute which means we can stun him then bring him back." Tech says.

"Stun?!" Omega said worriedly.

"Yes, that is what I said. He'll most likely not come willingly because of his inhibitor chip." Tech said as he started typing something.

Hunter crossed his arms and stayed quiet in deep thought. After a second Tech ever so slightly looked off his datapad at Hunter and lifted a brow.

"Is there an issue?" Tech asked.

"How do you expect us to get in? They'll notice us, we don't exactly look like regs." Hunter said in a serious tone.

"Duh, we're not going," Tech looks at Harper and Omega. "They're going."

"What?!"

"I'll do it."

Both Omega and Harper say at the same time.

"This isn't a good idea. It won't be safe for them. We have to be realistic." Hunter says.

"I am." Tech says roughly.

"But what if someone finds them and we can't get to them? Then what?" Wrecker asked as he chewed on a protein bar.

"That won't happen, I've been keeping tabs on their whole system and we shouldn't have any issue if they're capable enough." Tech says then looks at them.

"I'm doing it. I know the risk and I'm not failing, Hunter." Harper says confidently.

Hunter looks at Omega.

"It could be too dangerous for Omega. She's just a kid." Hunter says.

"Omega needs to be there, she's small. She can fit into areas where we can't." Tech says. "Are you up for it,"

"Yes." Omega nodded.

"Great, it's a plan then." Harper says then looks at Hunter.

"Isn't it?" Harper said with a smirk across her face.

Hunter let out an annoyed sigh.

"Fine, but If anything goes wrong get out of there immediately. I'm serious. If you don't listen then you're not allowed on anymore more missions until I notice a change."  Hunter say and slight smile across her face.

"Agreed." Harper puts out her hand for him to shake.

Hunter nods then shakes her hand. After a second they let go.

"So, uh, how long till we get there, Tech?" Wrecker asked.

"Momentarily." Tech said.

After some time of discussing the plan Tech showed up to our destination. He landed far away so they couldn't see the batch. The batch had the average this time.

"Make sure your comms are on at all times." Hunter said. Harper nodded. So did Omega.

"I still can't believe I get my own comm device!" Omega said excitedly.

"This is serious, Omega, no goofing off." Echo said and Omega mocked a salute.

"Sir, yes, sir!" Omega still said excitedly.

"Do you both know the plan?" Hunter asked and they both nodded.

"We got this, stop over reacting Hunter." Harper says.

"I'm not 'over reacting' I'm looking out for both of your safety." Hunter says.

"Eh, I don't need it. Safety isn't in my vocabulary." Harper shrugs.

Hunter hardened his eyes for a second.

"Well I'm gonna get going now. I gotta save Cross." Harper says then grabs a pistol.

"Be very careful with that." Hunter says and Harper rolled her eyes.

"You have to be serious. I can handle a gun Hunter. Stop acting like a mom for 5 minutes and let me do this." Harper says annoyedly. Hunter straighten up.

Harper sighs then begins walking out the doors with Omega behind her.

"Harper." Wrecker says. Harper looks over her shoulder to look back at him.

"Be careful." He waves and she smirked.

"By the way, we'll still be here. We aren't going anywhere. There's nothing to worry about." Wrecker says then she nods and walks out the ship with Omega behind her.
