Harry could feel a bubble of anxiety building in him as slithered into the back seat of Louis' car. He was wearing a sweater, even though it was ninety degrees outside. It just made him feel safe. Louis was around the car in the back, packing a cooler and towels. There were a couple suit cases as well in the back. Harry did not bring anything but his thermos, his jacket, and his blanket.

They were going to be gone a week.

"You're going to love the beach." Louis called, slamming the car door. Harry nodded and forced a smile, watching Louis get into the front seat. He was not very excited to go out somewhere so public as the beach. If it were anything like what he saw on the movies, the beach would be full of people, and loud.

Harry didn't want people to stare at him. He hadn't even gotten to the beach yet and he was already feeling gross and out of place.

"Hurry up, slow pokes!" Niall shouted out of Liam's car window. Liam was driving with Zayn and Niall in a separate car. All five of them were going to a beach cabin for the week.

Louis scoffed and rolled his eyes.

"We're ready!" He shouted back, starting the car, and pulling out of the driveway. Harry frowned and picked at the sleeve on his sweater. Louis seemed excited, and he wanted to do things with Louis outside of the house. Even though leaving the house made him anxious beyond belief. The house was his safe space, and now he would be hours away, in a brand-new environment.

At least Louis was going to be there.

"It's so nice and warm. I think you'll love laying in the sand." Louis smiled through the mirror. Harry nodded back at him and shrugged. He forced another smile.

"What's wrong?" Harry looked up as he heard Louis' concerned voice. Louis was watching his face with narrowed eyes.

"Nothing." Harry said with more enthusiasm, shaking his head. He didn't want to voice his concerns. Everyone else was so happy to go. Harry was sure that Louis would cancel the trip if he knew that it was making him so anxious. And he didn't want to be the reason the trip was ruined.

"It's going to be fun." Louis promised as he started to drive once more. "We get our own room at the beach house. And there's a hot tub. I know you'll like that. It's hot right in the name." He grinned into the mirror. Harry smiled at a little at the idea of a rolling hot bubbly tub of water.

"Too bad I'm not sssshedding." Harry hummed. That would have come in handy, not that last time had been too bad with the things he had available to him now.

"When do you shed next?" Louis asked. Harry smiled a bit and couldn't help but chuckle.

"Itssss not on a timer or anything, Louis. I usually don't know until itssss happening." Harry shrugged.

"Well I just want to be prepared for next time. Make sure youre hydrated and lubricated and all that jazz." Louis said. Harry rested his head against the window and watched the houses roll by.

"I'm sssure next time will be fine." He said, forcing a relaxed expression on his face as the house disappeared from view behind them.

"Swimming!" Niall practically bolted out of the car the second that Liam parked in the drive way of the large beach cabin.

"Niall! Help carry stuff into the house first!" Liam called after him. Harry just groaned a bit as he all but fell out of the backseat. Even laying across the back stretched out, staying in the same position for three hours wasn't very comfortable. He extended his spine, bending over and hummed, feeling the clicks and pops along his back and joints as he did so.
