"So, anong nakain mo at nangidnap ka letse kang attorney ka?" sermon ni Beau ng sinagot ko na ang tawag nila sa akin thru video call.

Kanina ko pa sila ini-ignore kasi alam kong sermon ang aabutin ko pero dahil naaalibadbadran na si Vera sa kakatunog ng cellphone ko ay wala akong nagawa kundi ang sagutin ito.

And here I am now, receiving lots of sermon from them, especially from Beau.

Buti nalang at tulog na si Vera sa kwarto ko, kundi nakakahiya kong marinig niya na pinapagalitan ako ng mga kaibigan ko.

"I was clouded by excitement earlier, that's why kidnapping her was all I could think about." nakangiwing sagot ko.

"Reason mo bulok gaya ng ulo mo sa taas." Beau snapped. "What if Mallory wasn't there in the Philippines? You could've lost your license!"

Sa aming magkakaibigan si Beau talaga ang parating nang-sesermon kapag nakagawa kami ng kasalanan. Kahit takot yan kay Clementine sini-sermonan niya rin yun kapag alam niyang tama siya.

Yun nga lang isang samang tingin lang ni Clementine tiklop agad siya.

"Thank you, Mall. I owe you one and I'm sorry for bothering you and Ruelle." tumingin ako sa gawi ni Mallory at nagpasalamat dito.

"Next time think before you do something stupid, okay?"

Tumango ako. "Yes, yes."

"I hope the trouble you caused us was worth it." Clementine butted in, raising her eyebrow. "So? Did you two talked already?"

I beamed in happiness. "Actually, I hired a private investigator and I already know everything."

Beau raises her one eyebrow. "Really? Everything? Because if I were in your shoes right now, I don't think I'll take the information lightly."

"Well, my private investigator told me that Lincoln Hsu is not actually her husband and she's not actually married." proud na sambit ko. "Therefore, she is single." hopefully.

"And?" Mallory.

"And what?" I furrowed my eyebrows.

"That's all?" Beau blinked a few times in disbelief.

I nodded my head. "Yeah."

"Fucking idiot." Beau.

"Stupid!" Clementine.

"Unbelievable!" Mallory.

Sabay silang napamura at napahilamos sa kanilang mga mukha at hindi makapaniwalang tinignan ako. Napakagat ako sa aking ibabang labi ng masama nila akong tinignan saka napa-buntong hininga.

"You two heads, is fucking stressing the hell out of me!" Beau scowled while shaking her head in disappointment.

"I can't believe you're a lawyer." Clementine calmly muttered before massaging her temple. "Love will only not kill you but it can also make you stupid pala."

Si Mallory naman ay napapailing nalang habang napamaang na nakatingin sa akin.

"Is there anything more I need to know?" I pouted.
