Chapter Ten: It should have been me

Regina looked you up and down and rolled her eyes, 'the fuck was her problem?' you thought. Gretchen then started getting scolded by Regina and started to apologize to her.

After school...

You were at basketball practice shooting a few threes to warm up when you see Aaron point to the left.

As soon as you look, you see Gretchen smiling at you from the bleachers.

You smile back and wave at her, which she almost instantly returns. You look around her and see Karen and Regina. You smile at Karen, which she returns, but you ignore Regina.

You see Gretchen still staring at you so you decided to show off a bit.

You tell Aaron to guard you and you easily score on him. You look at Gretchen and winked at her making her blush and smile.

"Okay, showing off for your girl?" Aaron asks walking to the bleachers for some water. You follow right behind him as he passes his water to you. "I mean, game is game you know?" You say jokingly.

Regina's watching this interaction from above thinking 'Should be me instead of Gretchen. Why did I have to pull that stupid prank?!?' Aaron walks away and you watch him leave

"Regina..?" You say cautiously, "You're staring a lot at Aaron..." You add smirking.

"Shut up Samuels." Regina says defensively rolling her eyes. You raise an eyebrow and throw your hands up in surrender.

"So, Gretchen, can I talk you out later?" You ask with a smirk that makes Gretchen melt.

"Yes! I would love that, pick me up at 8?" Gretchen replies excitedly. You nod your head in response and grab your stuff.

Regina is fuming at this point, the words, 'It should have been me' replaying in her mind...
