THE GIRLS surrounded Fredrika as she opened the letter she found in her locker. Mae just read them the one she got and now it was Fredrika's turn.

"I whisper your name at night, I shout out your name everyday, high above the town it rings out, it can be heard far and wide but you sleep so soundly at night, blinded by other things every day, your name on my tongue never reaches you, in the silence between us, the love I can never say."

     "That is so adorable."

"Who can it be? Is it Valter?" Fredrika thought out loud. "Or Henry? I don't know."

"If Henry wrote someone a letter, I think it would be for Mae." Madison said.

      Mae surely hoped so.

Fredrika nodded. "Yeah, you're right. Jordan? I have to find him so we can go to the ball together."

"I haven't find mine either, that's so annoying." Mae declared.

"Honestly, fuck all guys." Stella rolled her eyes.

      "Yeah! Fuck patriarchy!" Madison yelled.

Mae put a hand on her face with a laugh as they were all following their friend.

"Can't we just go all together?"

"Yes, we can go together." Fredrika said before giving Mae a look. "If it's not someone we like."

Mae giggled and she slipped an arm under Fredrika's. At least they were understanding each other on that.

As they planned it, Henry and Mae were working on the presentation Friday night. They were hanging out in Mae's room. She was working at her desk while Henry was sitting on her bed.

She talked to Elisa about the letter and her friend was convinced Henry wrote it. She said they saw them dancing in the garden at the party and that it was obvious he liked her. Mae wanted it to be Henry but she didn't want to get the wrong ideas and get too excited because she knew she would be disappointed if he wasn't the author of the letter.

After more than an hour working on the project, it was finally over. They closed their books and shared a look. Henry grinned. "So, we didn't get the chance to talk about what happened at the party."

"What do you want to talk about?" she asked.

"Well, I don't know, but, like, something happened, right? Or am I just making up stuff?" the ginger boy questionned.

She played with her pen to keep her hands occupied. "What do you think happened?"

"I don't know, really, I just... felt things."

      "Me too!" she nodded.

He seemed relieved and after a second of silence, he spoke up. "Did you get my letter?"

She straightened up right away. "That was you?" she exclaimed. "I didn't know you were such a good writer."

"Well, me neither, but I guess you inspired me." he said and she smiled. "I really like you."

She felt her heart race. She stood up and went to sit next to him on the bed. "I really like you too."

"So, will you come to the ball with me?" he asked, looking into her eyes.

      "I'd like that."

They both smiled and he took her hand as he was moving closer to her. "Is that okay if I kiss you?"

      She nodded. "Yes."

He softly put his lips on hers and they pulled away after a second. They both shared a look and giggled before kissing again. Mae put her hands on his cheeks while he was grabbing her waist.

The kiss gradually intensified and Mae's back hit her bed. Henry's hand moved down her thigh as she slipped her hands through his hair. This kiss was causing sensations in her that she had never felt before. She felt like her heart was beating so hard it was going to explode and Henry's kisses put her in a state she had never experienced before. But she loved it.

 But she loved it
