MAE AND MADISON shared a laugh as they were walking arm in arm behind Valter and Henry who were fighting with some wooden sticks they found in the forest.

They arrived near a huge lake and Mae leaned against a tree with her friends while the teacher explained to them how the rest of the trip would take place.

"Okay, guys, let's divide into groups of three in each tent, so girls with girls and boys with boys."

"There's five of us." Fedrika said, pointing at her friends.

"Then two of you will have to share a tent with someone." the teacher shrugged his shoulders.

Henry spoke up. "Hold on, pause, so if you're gay you're allowed to sleep with each other, but not if you're straight?"

"He wanna sleep with Mae." Valter chanted.

"No— I just meant in— in theory. In theory." Henry tried to catch up when people started laughing.

He looked towards Mae and she gave him a smile as she was leaning against the tree. His cheeks had blushed, and she couldn't tell if it was because of the cold or the embarassement, but he was really cute.

"What about the nonbinary ones?" Madison asked.

"I'll just randomize it, then." the man replied but everyone started complaining. "Come on, now! Just work it out."

The girls looked at each other. "So two of us have to share with someone else—"

"Don't you wanna go sleep with Henry?" Fedrika asked Mae.

"I mean, I would, but that means one of you guys would be alone so that wouldn't be nice." the brunette said.

"I can go sleep with Wilhelm and Simon. I don't mind." Felice nodded.

Stella looked at her. "Are you sure?"

      "Yeah, I'm sure."

"Well, if that's okay with you, sure, I guess."

      "So we're doing that?"

      "Yeah, okay."

Felice walked away to talk with Simon and Wilhelm and Mae walked over Henry and Valter with a smile. Her boyfriend opened his arms and she leaned against him.

"Oh, so I'm third wheeling." Valter said.

      "No." Mae replied.

"Yes." Henry said at the same time and the girl nudged him.

After that, the groups set up their tents and their belongings. In the case of Mae, Henry and Valter, it took a little while since she had never camped in her life so she didn't know how to do it and the boys spent more time fighting with their wooden sticks than to pitch the tent.

As night fell, they lit a campfire and hung glow sticks they had brought to turn the evening into a rave. They wrapped them around the trees, they hung them on the tents, everything was shining with multicolored light, it was beautiful.

Mae was sitting with Henry, Valter, Fedrika, Simon and Wilhelm as they grilled sausages over the fire to make hot dogs.

"Hey, are you guys having a party?" someone suddenly screamed.

"Who are you?" Malin, Wilhelm's bodyguard, shone her lamp in the faces of the new arrivals.

Simon and Mae shared a look as Elisa, Ayub and Rosh were the first ones in sight.
