Chapter 11

Lately the weather has been nice. Usually around this time it would be so gloomy and the snowfall would make outside look like a giant white sheet covering the land. But, today was a peculiarly good day. The sun was shining bright and the blankets of snow that melted glistened under the bright light. Seokjin had to wonder if it was a coincidence that things have turned for the better since the arrival of a certain someone. He glanced over at the omega who was concentrating on making his snowman. Seokjin looked over at the other three snowmen who were waiting for their fourth family member to join. A chuckle escaped his lips as he remembered how confused the staff were when Taehyung suddenly asked for five hats, five pairs of gloves, five scarves, five carrots and a box full of buttons. At first the prince himself was confused too but then when he saw the omega staring outside, he automatically knew. Making five snowmen seemed a bit ambitious but seeing the determination in Taehyung's eyes, he knew the omega was going to achieve it. And the fact he wanted to do it on his own with Seokjin just providing assistance, he had to wonder if the omega was the type to always get his way. Or if Seokjin just gave in because he wanted the omega to have his way.

A sudden wind blew around them, sending the loose, soft snow flying in all directions. Taehyung yelped out when snow fell off a branch and landed on him.

"Aish, that's so cold!" Taehyung cried out.

Seokjin laughed out, brushing the snow off him. Taehyung stared at Seokjin as the alpha's gloved finger brushed the snow off his face.

"Are you laughing at me?" Taehyung's deadpan expression only made Seokjin laugh harder.

"I'm sorry. I really am. You gotta watch the trees, they will always give you a surprise if you're not aware."

Taehyung sighed, trying to shake the snow that snuck into his clothes. "Why is the snow so sneaky it gets in all the crevices?"

Seokjin grabbed a hat, placing it on the newly made snowman. "That's what makes snow fun. You can be bundled from head to toe and somehow snow makes its way inside your clothes." He said, handing Taehyung the scarf and gloves. "Your family is looking good. But why five snowmen?"

Taehyung smiled softly as he began creating the last one. "I had a dream last night of two parents and three pups. The dream was really warm, the parents loved their pups so much and you could tell their pups were loved from happy and joyful they ran around. When I woke up it was heavy on my mind and somehow I wanted to recreate it." Taehyung looked at the alpha when he let out a deep sigh, the air leaving his lips in a big cloud.

"That's a nice dream. It was my brothers and I growing up in the palace but it wasn't as warm and loving. I've always felt that maybe if I become a parent I would have three pups and shower them with love."

Their eyes met when Seokjin looked at him and Taehyung immediately turned away, looking at the first part of the snowmen he made. His pulse thundered through his ears as his face grew hot. Why did it pain his heart, seeing the prince's soft expression. It made him even crazier because a part of him wanted to be there to see what type of father the alpha prince would be.

After they finished the family of five, Seokjin turned to Taehyung as he removed his glove. This time his bare fingers brushed against the omega's cheek.

"Your cheek is frozen, I think we should go in now and have some soup."

"That's a good idea. As you said, the snow is beautiful but it's lethal too."

Seokjin chuckled. "Now you're starting to sound like a Junyo native."

Taehyung let out a small laugh as he covered his mouth. "Let's hurry up and eat. The pup is hungry." Taehyung pushed the prince along.
