Chapter 8

Boram stormed into the office as the alpha looked at her.

"DaEun-ssi, P-P-Prince Namjoon is here for an inspection."

"Inspection?" DaEun jumped from her seat. "I-I wasn't informed of one!"

Boram shook her head. "He's in the foyer, requesting for you."

DaEun smoothed out her dress. "Ok, get the omegas together and I will stall as long as I can."

Boram nodded and ran off. DaEun left her office and rushed to the foyer. She saw the tall prince looking around with a small omega by his side. They looked at her when she approached.

"Y-Y-Your Highness, I wish I knew you were coming because then I would have prepared better. I'm afraid we haven't cleaned to the best of our abilities, so even this floor isn't good enough for you to walk on."

"That's ok. I was in town and decided to stop."

Jimin stared at the alpha woman in front of him and the hairs on his skin stood up. There was something so dark and evil about this woman but he also knew she was a good actress. The big toothy smile, the respectful way she was talking and of course she kept eyeing him, trying to figure out why an omega was here with the prince. Jimin wanted to get far away from this woman.

"Do you mind if we have a look around?" Namjoon asked.

"N-Not at all. I can show you around but first would you like to have a cup of tea in my office? I was thinking of expanding the house and I was going to submit a letter to the palace. But since you're here. I can give it to you."

Namjoon parted his lips to reply until a scream from upstairs was heard. Immediately he and Jimin ran towards the sound. To their horror they saw a full term pregnant omega woman on the ground, covering his head with an alpha woman standing over her about to strike her again. The alpha stopped when DaEun gasped out.

"What do you think you're doing to that pregnant omega?!" She shouted. "How dare you treat her like that when she is carrying the future of Junyo?!"

Jimin glared at DaEun.

The omega woman crawled over to Jimin, grabbing his pant leg. "Please help me! Help us! Please don't leave us here!" She sobbed.

DaEun moved the omega from Jimin. "Please, forgive her. It seems the attack must have gotten to her. Don't worry honey, you won't see that terrible alpha anymore."

The omega whimpered, trying to recoil from the alpha's touch.

Jimin moved DaEun from the omega and took her in his arms.

"Excuse me, I don't know who you are but what right do you have to push an alpha?" DaEun snapped.

"Are you addressing my mate so rudely?" Namjoon asked and DaEun's face faltered, looking at the gentle prince's cold expression.

She bowed her head. "I-I-I apologize, Your Highness, I had no idea."

"Joon-ah, look at her arms." Jimin said, holding out the omega's arms that were covered in bruises. "This just isn't a one-time thing." Jimin said, glaring at DaEun.

Anger boiled in the prince's blood but he took a deep breath. "Jimin, gather all the omegas and DaEun, I want you to summon all the alphas.

"I-I-Is there a reason why?" She asked, timidly.

"Yes, I need the faces of those who are going to get punished. I also want to investigate a potential murder." Namjoon said as DaEun stiffened.
