The Candle | Hazbin Hotel

With time we couldn't avoid, Husk, Nifty, Cherri and I were in charge of the hotel. Alastor would be doing Alastor things. Vaggie, Lucifer and Charlie at their meeting with Heaven. Angel, well, at work.

The lobby was mostly quiet, Nifty cleaning. Cherri and Husk talking at the bar. I sat on the couch on my lonesome, staring at Sir Pentious' picture. Cherri came from the bar and sat by my feet.

"Hey bitch," she smiled at me more gently than her usual.

"Hey pussy," I muttered back and sat up. Seeing Sir Pentious more clearly.

"Do you know what his last words were?" Cherri glanced at me from his portrait.

"No, do you?"

She laughed, "yeah, they were to me.... He um- kissed me and 'professed his love' as he'd call it and got into his ship." Cherri grimaced sadly mid sentence.

"Did you like him back?" I asked, turning my attention to her.

"More than most for sure, but no one can tie me down! I got shit to rumble!" She cheered before looking at me and stopped awkwardly.

"Sorry, he's um, he was great."

"Yeah, he was."

Vaggie and Lucifer barged in the doors, scaring the shit out of me and Cherri who napped on the same couch.

"Jeez man!" Cherri rubbed her head from the ground while I just groaned. My nose bled slightly from face planting.

Charlie was behind them with stars in her eyes. I heard quiet footsteps run up to me and I glanced up seeing Lucifer's smiling face.

"You were right! You were right!" He picked me up from under my arms so I was facing him.

"Lucifer! Nooooo," I groaned way too tired to deal with all the excitement.

"Yes! Yes! Yes! You were right!" He swung me around laughing whole heartedly, setting me down by my waist.

Charlie and Vaggie came from behind and hugged me closely from the sides. Lucifer joining in, hugging my front, barely a second later. I sent a help glance to Husk and Cherri, but they just smiled and laughed at me. I groaned.

"I take it the meeting went well?"

Looking down I saw Nifty joined the group hug as well, sitting on my shoe.

As if on cue, they all let go. Lucifer lingering a second longer. Perhaps I'm delusional too.

"Meeting in the lobby!" Charlie yelled, bubbling over with excitement.

Barely like five seconds later we all sat, me inbetween Cherry and Lucifer. Husk on his own chair, Vaggie on the floor and Nifty on my lap. Alastor teleported in and sat on another separate chair. I smiled at him falsely.

Charlie stood in front of us taking a deep breath which did nothing. Cherri took a sip from her shot glass

"Well first we talked to Sera and she said that it's okay Juniper is down here! Another thing they are not upset about Adam! Crazy, right? Who woulda thought?" She paused to take a breath, smiling even more and her eyes watering.

Lucifer probably brought up that I was down here.

"We have proof redemption exists because... Sir Pentious is alive and well in heaven!"

Wait, I was right?

A small flash of surprise crossed Alastors face along with green. I shared a look with Husk, and his ears were suddenly down. It was gone as soon as it came.

No one else seemed to notice.

I stood up at the news, Cherri's glass she held shattered. Slowly I came closer and jumped at Charlie, attacking her in a hug.

"Thank you for being you."
