The Ninja made a rule to NOT make Adina angry. In "Rise of the Snakes" episode, Adina found the boys humiliating poor Lloyd Garmadon. She confronted them, sent all the villagers away, got Lloyd down from the sign and comforted him, plus giving him some candy. After that, Adina gave them an extreme ice bath with freezing cold water, ice cubes in the bath and even turned on the AC to make the bathroom cold as punishment for hurting Lloyd. During "Home" episode, the boys got in an argument about the mission with the serpentine, Adina attempts to calm them down by suggesting they all go out for a while. When they tell her to shut up, or mind her own business, she got angry at their rudeness for her trying help and she freezes them in an ice cube. They still remain close to Adina, but they try to be careful when things go bad.
