Zachariah admired the scenery infront of his eyes. Trying to find some solace in the nature. The nature looks so calm and peaceful, yet they held so much purpose to one another.

It's been days since the last interaction between him and Seraphina. Many days have passed, still there is no progress there in their marriage life. No conversations, no closure.

Admidst the calm and serene posture of Zachariah, his thoughts were whirling nonstop. He can't help but to feel lonely and unwanted under the look of Serpahina.

Their long break has finally ended. Today, will now start their work again. Even if it's their break, Seraphina wouldn't let herself take a break. She is very workaholic, and that makes him worry for more.

Zachariah's POV

I tried to talk to Seraphina, wanting to start a conversation even if it's short, but she always ignore or rejects me like I am a plague.

I understand that she doesn't want this marriage. I know that marriage was all about the love and commitment that you both have for each other, but ours was different. And I wish, it was entirely the opposite.

Ever since I first saw her, I definitely registered that she was the one. I wasn't that type of person to have some fun around for only a couple of times. I wanted only someone that who would be with me for entire lifetime.

I am a hopless romantic and I wouldn't deny that fact. I wanted to have someone who would love me for the way I am. I want to love someone and to be loved by someone.

These past days, I tried to confirm my emotions and make it clear so that I wouldn't be confuse. As I try to dig deeper to my emotions, the more I realized what I want and desires are.

As I grappled to my emotions through my heart, I realized that I have fallen. I have fallen deeply with Serpahina. Without a reason why and how. The only I know is that I have fallen deeply for her.

Despite her cold and reserved person she is, she still managed to enter to my heart without a planning to take responsibility for what she had caused. And what scares me is that I can't stop this feeling. In just a short span of time, I fell for her. In the midst of an unexpected and unplanned event.

As I extrapolate my feelings endlessly, a sudden determine ignited within me, like a flame refusing to cool down. Despite what our  differences are, I couldn't comprehend that she was worth fighting for, worth every effort to win her heart.

With each previous and upcoming rejection, I saw that this is not the end, but a challenge to prove myself for her, to show her the depth of my devotion and love for her.

Love. It unexpectedly bloom no matter how still small the time that they were. No matter their situations that they are in right now. Love has no exceptions. Love always comes at different and unexpected times.

I felt a smile on my lips as I discovered a new determination on my heart. The heavy weight in my heart finally easen up a little. I know it's hard to win Seraphina, but I will definitely give all my best just to be with her.

End of POV

Zachariah got out of their room and went to the living room. He saw Seraphina picking some of her belongings ready to go to her company. She was now fully dressed professionally, as well as Zachariah too.

"I can drive you to your work." Zachariah spoke softly, hoping for the younger to agree. He wanted to have some quality time for her wife, even without talking, he will still be content.

Serpahina looked at him with unreadable eyes. She stared at Zachariah with blank eyes, still not replying to anything.

Zachariah felt embarrassed for making himself like a fool, he felt like he was talking to the air. He ducked down his head and rubbed his nape. But the sudden reply jolted him with a surprised look in his face.

"Okay." Seraphina stated while walking towards the garage. Zachariah stood there in his place for a minute, processing what happened.

After spacing out for a while, he immediately went to the car and immediately opened the door. Seraphina was already there before him, looking so calm while busy checking with her phone.

Zachariah took a breath to calm himself, but the scent of Seraphina immediately went inside to his nostrils, it was lavender with a mix of vanilla. The nervousness of his body earlier, vanished immediately by the calming scent of her.

"Are you going to start the car or what? I'm almost late." Seraphina spoke strongly, making Zachariah break his trance of daydreaming.

"I'm sorry. We'll get going now." Zachariah immediately apologized and started the car within a second with carefulness.

The tension in the car was heavy for Zachariah because of his new discovered feelings for the younger. While Seraphina was looking so calm in her phone.

The car ride went quiet and smooth. None of them uttered. The silence was comfortable and not heavy. Zachariah felt at peace in this moment. All he wanted is the presence of his wife.

The road was still surrounded by some trees, they were not still there in the city. And with that, Zachariah turned the music on to lessen the white noise in the car and to make it not a little boring.

"I have a business party in the evening." Seraphina said out of nowhere, breaking the silence between them. Zachariah looked at her and looked back at the road with a confusion.

"What time will your party would end? I will fetch you." Zachariah replied while driving calmly.

"What I meant was you'll gonna come with me at the party." Seraphina answered, clearing her statement. She looked at Zachariah only to see his surprised face.

"All of them wanted to see you with me. And you already know why." Seraphina spoke formally.

"Okay, I'll come with you." Zachariah soothingly spoke while his eyes are focused on the road. Serpahina hummed in return.

"Remember to pretend that we are a real couple on public."
