Prologue

It's past nine in the evening. The night is getting colder and longer. The gentle breeze brings chills in the night. With a hollow whiff, it is sure that the night is dominating the whole place.

But none of that matters. In the middle of the four cornered room, there was a comfortable silence lingering there. Only some keyboards clicking and mild distant noises coming from the outside of the building.

In the middle of comfortable silence, there was dark and dominating aura blends the whole entire office. No words that are spoken, but a mere person can definitely feel the whole room filled with dominance.

Suddenly, in the middle of the silence, the owner's phone suddenly rang, breaking the silence of the loom. A delicate and soft hand immediately reaches the phone to answer it.

"What?" The woman in the black blazer asked with a huffed with a honey toned rich voice. Her voice is now grog a little because of the amount of not speaking, but her voice is still intimidating to the ear.

"Don't 'what' me, Seraphina Watsons!" A middle aged woman suddenly screamed on the other side of the phone, making Seraphina move her phone at a distance from her ears.

"You only call my full name when you're mad or it's urgent." Seraphina said with a monotone voice. "So, tell me what is it, Mom?" She asked while typing something to her computer.

"We have a family gathering tomorrow evening. Be presentable and don't be late." Stephanie Watsons, Seraphina's mother stated through the phone.

"Another business matters?" Seraphina asked again, but her mom suddenly became silent for a minute before speaking again. "Let's see tomorrow." Stephanie said, and dropped the call before bidding goodbye.

Seraphina groaned in annoyance and tiredness. She arched her back and slumped tiredly. She still has some important paper work and the family gatherings tomorrow is not really helping right now.

She stood up and went to her car to go home. She feel that something will gonna happen, but she can't pinpoint it. She felt anxious suddenly, without a reason. The silence of her mom's voice, really overwhelmed her for some unknown reasons.

She must find out about what businesses are they going to discuss tomorrow. It is a family gatherings, and it means to have some bondings and time for your family. But for them, it is not, the topics are just business.

After she reached to her penthouse, she unlocked her door and greeted with darkness and suffocating silence. But she didn't mind, her tiredness is consuming her rapidly. She went to the bathroom to freshen herself up. And after that, she immediately laid down on her comfortable bed. Without any distractions, she lets out a comfortable sighed and closed her eyes tiredly. With a silence, she drifted to sleep.
