Chapter 15

The sun rose brightly in the early of the morning, the birds were singing through the air gracefully seeing another day. The trees were swaying with their leaves by the wind, it really shows how nature is truly wonderful.

The sun was still slowly rising in the sky, and it's already making a light in its way. The sky is blue and warm, creating clear weather and peaceful weather. The scene was truly mesmerizing.

Zachariah was sipping his morning coffee on their balcony, embracing the gentle breeze that is softly caressing his cheeks. The morning air blew over him making his hair move in a sway. It feels refreshing to him.

He continued to admire the scenery presented to him. He truly loves nature since he was young, and he's truly grateful to their parents by choosing a perfect setting for their mansion. It was beyond perfect, with the greenery that surrounded the whole area and a mountain view.

It was still six in the morning, and their work begins at nine in the morning, that's why he didn't cook for them anything yet. Besides, Seraphina was still sleeping peacefully. He wanted to serve her a freshly cooked breakfast.

His heart and mind feels anew today, after realizing and finding an answer to his question. His heart feels lightweight and refreshed. He smiled at that thought of him.

After a while, he stretched his strained arms and muscles. Deciding that it is now a perfect time to move and take action in the morning, it is now seven-thirty. He went to their bedroom and saw Seraphina was still asleep without any care, he didn't bother to wake her up because he knew how tired Seraphina was.

He went to the bathroom to take a shower for the day. As usual, he cleaned himself thoroughly, and after, he went to their walk-in-closet to find a suit for work. After a while, he finally picked what to wear and immediately dressed himself. He did his daily routine in the morning as always.

After preparing himself, he got out and saw that their bed was now already empty. Looking clean, the sheets and pillows are near arranged, like without the trace of Serpahina's presence.

Zachariah heard the waters dripping and the shower pouring. He immediately knew that it was Seraphina taking a bath. Well, there are only two of them living in the mansion without maids, because they had made their decision to not hire some maids because they can do their things on their own. And especially, they don't want anything to know about their marriage that was not genuine. They know that they can easily bribe them with money, but they still don't do it, because it was risky, and they can't trust strangers easily. Especially, Serpahina, after marrying a whole stranger.

Seraphina's POV

After I'm done taking a bath, I immediately dried my hair. After I was done, I immediately went to the closet and carefully chose some clothes and accessories that I will wear today.

After dressing myself up, I immediately went to my vanity mirror and prepared myself throughout the whole day. I want to be presentable because it adds to my presence too of the company. I apply some cream to lighten myself up.

After I was done with everything, I immediately got up and went out of our room. I feel refreshed but drained at the same time. I couldn't help it but to get tired even if it was still early in the morning. Yesterday, I worked on some papers and attended some meetings. My schedule was hectic yesterday, and the event didn't help me at all. Due to the party last night, I doubled myself and worked like a madman to finish it all at the end of the day.

The party was not great for me, like always. Even though I attended many parties filled with business tycoons, I still couldn't help it but to feel empty and bored. I couldn't bear seeing all the people who put plastic smiles at each other just for the sake of their company. And it was a cycle and on going.
