medyo tense ‘yung atmosphere sa room because Mr. Lopez announced a major project for the term, about environmental sustainability, and kailangan pa namin ‘to i-present sa school science fair. Pero, ang twist? It’s a partnered assignment, and hindi namin choice ‘yung partner.

He looked at me with that understanding yet firm gaze. "Elena, I know it's not the ideal situation, but part of this assignment is learning how to collaborate, even with those you might not choose yourself. Give it a chance; baka magulat ka sa outcome."

So, without any chance of escape, I faced Gabriel, who was oddly waiting. "pabuhat" he said, jokingly... or not? "baka masapak kita dyan" sabi ko
