Elena's point of view

I found myself at the roadside, waiting for a tricycle, the cool evening air hinting at an approaching rain. Lost in thought, I didn’t immediately notice Gabriel returning until he pulled up beside me on his motorbike.

Need a ride?” he offered, a half-smile playing on his lips as if anticipating my refusal.

Despite the convenience, my initial reaction was to decline. “I’ll wait for a trike, thanks,” I said, stubborn pride coloring my tone. The thought of accepting a ride felt oddly intimate after months of bickering and academic rivalry.

You sure? Mukhang uulan pa, oh? Baka lumakas pa 'to,” he cautioned, gesturing to the darkening sky. His concern seemed genuine, but accepting his offer felt like crossing an unseen boundary between us.

Hesitating, I weighed my options as the first drops of rain began to fall, cold against my skin. The prospect of getting soaked versus sharing a ride with Gabriel—a scenario I hadn’t anticipated.

After a moment’s pause, marked by the increasing drizzle, practicality won over pride. “Fine, but only because I don’t want to get drenched,” I conceded, trying to mask my reluctance with a nonchalant attitude.

..

Arriving at my place, I hopped off the bike, mumbling a quick “Thanks,” to which Gabriel just nodded

"next time wag kana mag sungit ah" sigaw nya bago umalis

kaya nya naman palang maging mabait pero di nya ginawa.

pag pasok ko na sa apartment ko...

"OH MY-"

hmmm... 👀👀👀
