THE FIRST DIFFICULTIES

AFTER A FEW DAYS SINCE THE INTERVIEW 

 BUCKINGHAM PALACE: we are very pleased to announce that his royal highness the Prince of Wales and her royal highness the Princess of Asturias with the interview they gave a few days ago to a BBC journalist where they declare that they are together announcing their official engagement

I: what i mean is that one day william will become the king of the united kingdom, if we were to get married as a result i would become the queen consort of the united kingdom, right?

Felipe: exacly 

I: and what would happen to our family and the spanish monarchy? i don't want to throw this responsibility on my sister or anyone else in our family since i've been preparing to be in charge since i was 9 years old.

Letizia: you don't have to worry about that now honey 

I: i know but i need to know before making choices for my future

Felipe: you're right honey, there would be two options to continue the monarchy and our family

I: and what are the options?

Felipe: the first option is to do as you said by making sofia the future queen but we won't take it into consideration

I: thank you dad

William: and what is the second option?

Felipe: the second option is to bring back an old custom, have you ever heard of monarchs from two different countries?

William: yes but i thought it couldn't be done anymore

Felipe: theoretically you are right but it is only used in special cases, so in this case everything would remain as before with the only difference being that when william is king of the united kingdom you will be queen consort, but in spain you will be queen and william will be prince consort

I: can you really do this? i mean change the laws for me?

Felipe: of course i can, It won't be easy, but your mother and i will do everything we can to make it possible

I: thank you so much dad, you have no idea how much i appreciate it 

Letizia: we will be willing to do everything to make you and your sister happy, have no doubts about this, you will see that we will make it

I: thank you mom, i love you so much
