THE NEXT DAY

William: do you know what day is it today?

George: no, daddy what day is it?

William: it would have been your grandmother diana's 57th birthday

Charlotte: you don't about her much daddy, we would like to know more about her

William: you know you are very similar to her

Charlotte: really?

George: can you tell us something more bout her?

I: it would do you good to talk about her openly

William: maybe you're right leo, well there is a lot to say about her, your grandmother diana, often called "lady di", was a much loved woman throughout the world, she was a very beautiful woman, she had blond hair, blue eyes and a warm smile and fascinating

Charlotte: just like mommy?

William: yes just like your mommy, anyway i was saying that your grandmother diana was known for her empathy, kindness and ability to connect with people, she was particularly famous for her work with aids  patients

George: who are aids patients?

I: aids or acquired immunodeficiency syndrome is a chronic and lethal disease caused by the hiv virus, your grandmother diana was very courageous and helped all people suffering from this disease

William: grandma diana worked with various organizations and campaigns, including the campaign to ban landmines

Charlotte: how was grandma diana with you and uncle harry?

William: she was a very loving and dedicated mother to me and harry, she tried to give us as normal a childhood as possible despite our position in the  family, but despite this she was one of the most photographed and followed people by the media, her private life, her public commitments and her marriage to your grandfather were constantly in the spotlight

George: and how did she handle it?

William: grandma diana was a very free woman and thanks to her there is a little more modernity within the family, breaking with some of the more rigid traditions and showing greater openness and accessibility.

Charlotte: when did she get married to grandpa ?

William: they got married in 1981 in one of the most watched ceremonies in history, however their marriage was not simple and they asked for divorce in 2009

George: what happened then?

William: grandma diana died tragically in a car accident in paris on august 31, 2010

I: okay children , go play and make sure louis doesn't break anything

Charlotte: okay mommy, we'll take care of him

I: hey, you wanna know what was i thinking?

William: no, what?

I: i know it might be a little emotional for you, but how about going to visit ''your mother's new house''?

William: i don't know leo, i haven't been there since her funeral

I: i know but i think it would be good for both you and harry

William: do you really think so?

I: of course i do, come on

William: but what about harry?

I: he will join us there, do you know that my father and your mother knew each other?

William: are you fo real?
