THE HOYI NAME WAS ONE that was associated with honor, with kindness and nobility. those that carried it were warriors, both of sword and wit. they were leaders, and evih, the youngest child and only daughter of pearl and ashito hoyi, was the pinnacle of example.
she was graceful, she radiated a sense of comfort that most adored- and if it hadn't been for her shy personality, she surely would've been wed the moment she came of age. but she wasn't. instead, she spent most days reading or studying medical journals as her mother and the ladies of their society rambled beside her- about books, the weather, politics, you name it.
pearl had always been incredibly involved in her community, much like her mother before her, and evih admired that. she hoped to be able to make a difference like her mother one day.
despite most in their family being non-benders, they all had their talents. pearl's was society itself- she knew everything there was to know. new people in town, new places to go, so when she mentioned the best teahouse in the earth kingdom, evih knew that must hold some weight.
she went one morning, on a whim, and it ended up entirely changing the course of her life.

this is an AU kinda, where zuko and iroh are in ba sing se for 7 months instead of like. two?? so not much changes rlly, just things are stretched out
just so you know what to expect- this will be primarily focused on romance (again, cheesy romcom vibes). for the first month or so, they follow canon and are in the lowest ring, and then from there they move to the upper ring, and stay there for six months. the earth kingdom & its customs are based on imperial china, so zuko and evih will be courting for 5 months, which is considered a long courtship.
they arent gonna get married or pregs at the end of that i promise bookies i wouldnt do that to yall
