"I don't understand what you're talking about."

"Just watch." Dallas opened another bottle and drank a few gulps. Him and Sodapop were sitting on the couch, Soda was shirtless and had grease on his face. Two-bit was on the floor in front of them. Their eyes were glued to the tv and lazily let the phone ring, deciding that Darryl would answer.

"Hello?"

"See?" Sodapop pointed at the screen. "Donald duck never wears pants yet when he gets out of the shower, he's wearing a towel on his waist."

"You've been hanging out with Two-bit too much, man." Dally said.

"Hey man, that's a good thing." Two-bit called.

"Dally." Darryl shook the phone. "It's for you." Dally stood up, followed by a groan.

"What do you want?" He said into the phone.

"Is this Dallas Winston?" The voice on the other side asked.

"Yeah, who's this?"

"I am Mr. Montgomery. I am sorry to say that your aunt Deborah has passed."

"Oh." The glass bottle with beer slipped out of his hands. He didn't actually have an aunt Deborah but he knew the name far too well. He never knew Deborah and wasn't exactly sad about that, it was what he left with Deborah that made him drop the glass bottles. Two-bit muted the tv and their attention was turned to Dally. "Well-what-what about uh, her kid? Margaret?"

"She left very strict instructions that Margaret be given to you, when she passed. We're packing things up now but will be in Tulsa on Wednesday."

"Wednesday." Dally repeated. "Wednesday?"

"Yes, Wednesday."

"I'll see you then." The man hung up and left Dally standing there in shock. His face was pale white and his hands shook.

"Everything alright bud?" Dally shakily put the phone up and leaned against the wall. He breathed heavily and shook some more as he raised his fist and hit the wall.

"Dallas." Darryl rested a hand on his shoulder. "What's going on?"

"Alright, you know how I was in New York before I came here?" His friends nodded. "Well, I got a sister who's a little younger than me and the life we had sucked so I sent her to my moms friends house while I put up with my old man and got into some shit." Never had they heard Dally talk about his family, so it wasn't a shock that he had a secret sister, but there was also some surprise added to their emotions. "I assumed she'd live in New York for the rest of her life but-the guy on the phone told me that her friend passed and she requested that I take my sister in."

"You just turned nineteen. How do they expect you two to take care of each other when even the Curtis kids are struggling with that?" Two-bit asked, he was still on the floor.

"She must have..bent the times a bit, covered some parts of the truth, who knows." Dally ran a hand through his hair and sighed. "I don't know the first thing about taking care of a kid man, I can barley handle the kids that ain't even my problems. How do you expect me to take care of a sister that I haven't seen in-in like ten years, man?" The gang exchanged looks.

"We'll be more than happy to help you Dal, right?" They all nodded in agreement with Darryl and his kind heart. "How old is she?" Dally had to think long and hard, he hadn't seen her in so long and she was just a little girl then.

"I don't know man. Sixteen? Maybe fifteen." Dally answered. "No. She's seventeen."

"Alright. I know Johnny and Pony will be good to her." Dally nodded in agreement with Sodapop.

"I need a drink." Dally stumbled out of the house, leaving the whole gang sitting in the living room with their brows furrowed.

"This isn't gonna go well." Two-bit exhaled.

"It'll go just fine. I've never seen him so shaken up so it's clear that she's important to him, no matter how distant they've been." Darry's words of wisdom echoed amongst the greasers.
