"Hey! Peggy Coleman, isn't it?" A boy approached me in the park. "It's Peter. Do you Remember me? From the plane?"

"Peter? What are you doing here?"

"I moved here. My dad caved and now we live actually just down the street." Peter pointed north of the park. "I was hoping I would run into Peggy Coleman, the airplane girl."

"Actually...my last name is Winston."

Life went on after that, but it was never the same. The gang kind of drifted away. We went on to become adults and left that night behind.

Sodapop married a beautiful blonde and had angel looking kids. He also went on to serve his country and fought in the Vietnam war.

Darry quit his job as a construction man who worked on roofs and became a football coach at the local middle school. He met a girl and they settled down and had four kids. One of them was named Johnny.

Steve opened his own bar. It became a hang out for all people. There were no cliques or gangs, there were just ordinary people looking to get a drink.

Ponyboy went on to become a writer. He wrote incredible stories with characters inspired by the gang of greasers he grew up with.

Two-Bit and I got married and moved to the soc side of town. I became a school teacher and taught third grade. Two-Bit worked at Steve's bar some nights until he eventually opened his own club on the north side of town.

Though we went on and spread out in the city if Tulsa, every year on that same night, us and our families gathered together and reminisced our days with Johnny and Dallas.
