17. Trip I

30th December, 6:30 am, Arora House

V A N Y A ' S P O V

We were all ready and set to go to Rathore farmhouse on the outskirts of Mumbai for new year's celebration.

Ashrut bhaiya was driving with Ruhi in the passenger seat while me and Viransh sat in the back. As soon as we left our house, my phone pinged with a message from Rudransh.

We've been talking back and forth after our 'unofficial' date and also went for casual lunch and dinners.

I slightly smiled on seeing his message but stopped when I felt a gaze on me. I looked to my right and saw Viransh smirking, giving me a 'I-know-it-all' face. I cleared my throat and looked out of the window feeling shy all of a sudden.

"Tujh ko kya hua hai, kyu tu kho gayi hai?" Viransh started singing, nudging my shoulders, changing the lyrics.

(What has happened to you, why are you so lost?)

"Pagal tha tu phele ya ab ho gaya hai?" Ruhi continued to sound more like a taunt but there was no effect on him, instead he continued the song on the car speaker.

4 HOURS LATER

We had finally reached the farmhouse and also had a fun meet with Abhiraj's siblings.

After setting up my luggage in the room, I made my way towards the dining room where supposedly everyone should be but no one was present.

"Ma'am, the lunch is about to be served, everyone is present in the backyard" nodding my head at the staff, I turned towards the backyard when I felt someone pull me in the corner.

"Rudransh, what are you-"

"Shhh, where is your phone?" he asked, keeping his finger on my lips.

I showed him my phone while raising my eyebrows asking what.

"I called and messaged you several times but you didn't reply making me concern"

'Concerned?? Where am I going to run off?'

"It was on silent, so I didn't realise" I said attempting to free myself instead he pulled me even closer to him leaving just a few inches between us. He took a brief look at my wrist, kissing the bracelet.

"Rudransh someone might see us" I said in a hush tone, looking everywhere but at him.

"Sunflower-" before he could say anything I kept my hand on his mouth on hearing Ashrut bhaiya calling me.

I freed myself from him, making my way towards the backyard with Rudransh following me at a distance.

I seated myself beside Kaira while Rudransh sat on the empty seat on my left side.

I saw Rudransh having water from my glass and I instantly stopped him before anyone could notice.

Instead he drank from the same glass winking at me, making me choke on my food.

"Are you okay??" Kaira rubbed my back while Rudransh gave me water from the same glass he just drank.

"Take it easy sunflower" I heard him, smirking at me as I gulped down the water in one go.

Making it difficult for me and then asking to take it easy. He really is unpredictable, I don't know what's going on in his mind.
