As Ariel recounted the heartbreaking scene she had stumbled upon to Valentina, her best friend's eyes widened in disbelief. The shock quickly gave way to a fierce anger that simmered just beneath the surface.

"That bastard!" Valentina seethed, her fists clenched at her sides as she paced back and forth across the room. "I can't believe he would do this to you, Ariel. After everything you two have been through together."

Ariel watched her friend's reaction with a mixture of gratitude and sadness. She knew that

Valentina's fiery protectiveness was a testament to the depth of their friendship, to the unwavering support she could always count on.

"We'll get through this, Ariel," Valentina vowed, her voice tinged with determination. "I won't let him get away with this. I'll make sure he knows exactly what he's done to you."

As Ariel watched Valentina's reaction, her heart swelled with gratitude for her friend's unwavering support. However, she also felt a twinge of concern as she saw the fire in Valentina's eyes, fueled by anger and a desire for revenge.

"Valentina, I appreciate everything you're doing for me," Ariel began, her voice soft but firm. "But I don't want you to do anything rash. We need to handle this carefully."

Valentina stopped pacing, her fists still clenched at her sides as she turned to face Ariel, her expression a mixture of frustration and determination.

"But he can't just get away with this!" Valentina protested, a glint in her eyes. "I told him what I'd do in the beginning if he ever hurt you."

Ariel reached out and placed a gentle hand on Valentina's arm, meeting her friend's gaze with understanding. "I know, Val. But right now, I'm not ready to face him. And I don't want you to get into trouble trying to protect me."

Valentina's shoulders slumped slightly, as she took in Ariel's words. "I just hate seeing you hurt," she admitted.

Ariel pulled Valentina into a comforting embrace, feeling the weight of their shared pain but also the strength of their bond. "I know, Val. And having you here with me means everything."

Feeling a sense of relief wash over her, Valentina nodded, her features softening with a renewed sense of care. "Why don't I go grab us some food and a couple tubs of ice cream while you take a shower and get into your PJs?" she suggested, a gentle smile playing on her lips.

Ariel's eyes brightened at the suggestion, grateful for the simple act of kindness. "That sounds perfect," she replied, her voice infused with gratitude.

With a reassuring squeeze of Ariel's hand, Valentina made her way out of the room, leaving Ariel to gather her thoughts in the solitude of the shower.

As Ariel stood beneath the soothing spray of the shower, her thoughts swirled with a tumult of emotions. The sting of betrayal still fresh in her heart, she couldn't shake the overwhelming sense of devastation that washed over her.

Images of Theo and the other woman flashed through her mind, each one a painful reminder of the shattered dreams and broken promises that had once filled her heart with hope. How could he have done this to her, to them?

The realization hit her like a wave crashing against the shore: there was no way they could still get married next week, not after what had transpired. Their once-bright future lay in ruins, torn apart by Theo's reckless actions.

As she reached for the shampoo, her fingers trembling with emotion, Ariel knew that she would have to confront the painful truth head-on. There was no turning back now, no pretending that everything was okay.

She would need to cancel the wedding, to face the inevitable questions and judgments from family and friends. But more than that, she would need to find the strength to pick up the pieces of her shattered heart and rebuild her life anew.

With a heavy sigh, Ariel let the tears mingle with the water cascading down her cheeks, allowing herself a moment of vulnerability amidst the chaos. But even as the pain threatened to consume her, she knew that she couldn't let it define her.

As she stepped out of the shower and wrapped herself in a towel, determination flickered in her eyes. She may be broken, but she was far from defeated. And

With a sense of resolve settling over her, Ariel dried herself off and slipped into her cozy pajamas. As she stepped out of the bathroom, she found Valentina arranging their makeshift comfort food feast on the bed – a spread of delicious treats meant to provide solace in the midst of their turmoil.

Valentina looked up, her expression a mix of concern and empathy as she took in Ariel's demeanor. "How are you holding up, Ari?" she asked softly, her eyes brimming with compassion.

Ariel offered a weak smile, grateful for her friend's unwavering support. "I'm... I'm okay," she replied, her voice betraying the tremor of emotion that still lingered within her.

Valentina reached out and squeezed her hand reassuringly. "You don't have to pretend to be okay, you know," she said gently. "It's okay to feel whatever you're feeling right now."

Tears welled up in Ariel's eyes at Valentina's words, her heart aching with the weight of her grief. "I just... I don't understand how this could have happened," she admitted, her voice breaking with emotion.

Valentina pulled her into a comforting embrace, holding her close as Ariel let out a quiet sob. "I know, Ari. I know," Valentina murmured, her own voice thick with emotion.

After their embrace, Ariel and Valentina settled on the bed amidst the spread of comfort food and decided this would be a girls day/night. They talked through what had happened, their voices wavering with emotion as they shared their thoughts and feelings. Tears flowed freely as they recounted the events of the day, they laughed over all the plans of revenge Val already had laid out, they ate, cried some more, talked some more, and repeat – for hours.

As the evening wore on, they found themselves indulging in the decadent treats laid out before them, the taste of chocolate and ice cream a bittersweet comfort against the backdrop of their shattered dreams. They flipped through channels until they settled on a cheesy romcom, finding a strange sense of catharsis in the exaggerated happily-ever-afters.

But as the movie played on and the credits rolled, Valentina's expression suddenly lit up with an idea. "I have an idea," she announced, her eyes sparkling.
