Time couldn't move faster. It was like the hands on the clock were frozen, at least that's how Noeul saw it since he couldn't tear his eyes away from the damned thing. Even the stench of wax wasn't as much as a bother, his leg bouncing as he itched to get out of the classroom.
Over the phone the night before, Boss had asked Noeul if he wanted to join him under the tree he always sat under, and Noeul had practically yelled out a yes.
It had been a few days since they hung out and Noeul was feeling deprived. It was crazy how quickly the younger became part of Noeul's life, like he was a missing puzzle piece that completed Noeul's existence.
Lost in his thoughts, Noeul distantly heard the rustling of his peers around him, zoning in to see them all gathering their things. His eyes shot up at the clock and saw that it was two minutes past the official end of class.
He sprung to his feet and grabbed his bag, leaving behind the mess of the head he was sculpting, barely started, but who cares. He was about to see his baby.
Noeul felt his heart skip a beat at the sight of Boss sitting prettily under the shade. The younger stared at the building's exit, face lighting up when he caught Noeul's eyes.
Noeul bit his bottom lip to hold back a laugh, endeared by the happy smile Boss was sending him as he made his way over.
"Hi, Noeul," Boss greeted when the older was a few steps away, his smile growing.
"Hey," Noeul greeted back with a giggle, eyes turning to crescents.
With the weather getting warmer, Boss forgone his long sleeves to wear a loose tank top with a Type O Negative logo on it, hard muscles on display for Noeul to ogle at. The collar of the top dipped low, showing off deep collarbones and the curve of Boss' pecs, the slight sheen of sweat adding a glow to Boss' appearance.
Noeul swallowed.
It didn't help that his hair was tied up into a bun, the hairstyle letting Noeul see Boss' entire pretty face. Every time Noeul saw him he just became even more handsome.
"Noeul?"
Red spread across Noeul's cheeks when he realized he had been caught staring.
"Sorry! Got distracted," he squeaked, quickly sitting beside Boss, ignoring the smirk the other was sending him.
"It's okay," Boss chuckled, pressing his side against Noeul's. "Are you having a good day?"
Noeul pursed his lips. "It was alright. It's definitely better now."
"Oh yeah? Why?"
"Because I get to see you."
The tips of Boss' ears turned red. He looked away from the older with his bottom lip caught beneath his teeth, still shy even though he already knew the answer before asking. It was cute. Boss was cute.
"I'm happy to see you too." Boss nudged his shoulder against Noeul's. The action made Noeul smile.
They fell into a comfortable silence, leaning into each other and just enjoying each other's presence, as well as the gentle breeze rustling the reawakened branches above them.
