Red Bouquet

A bit of trouble

It was morning, the birds were chirping and the sun shined bright

Alastor was at the kitchen cooking up breakfast until Lucifer entered "hey Al do you know where Charlie went I can't find her"

"She's in my room, she had a nightmare and went over to me" Alastor replied as he added a bit of salt on the egg he was cooking.

"What why'd she go to you" Lucifer looked at him feeling a little annoyed.

"Well maybe she just thought I was a better father figure than you are" alastor lied obviously he just wanted to see the reaction come out of Lucifer.

"What do you mean, I've been raising her since she was a baby up until now, I'm the better father!"

"You fed her dessert for dinner"

"Because I'm a cool dad!" Lucifer smirked but that reply just made alastor sigh in annoyance

"Mm are you guys fighting?" Charlie walked into the kitchen and was still half asleep.

"No we're not don't worry starlight, go get changed for school breakfast would be ready soon" alastor replied as he smirked, he looked over to Lucifer who was obviously annoyed.

"Okay" Charlie walked away and went to her room to get changed

"Stop doing whatever your doing!" A jealous Lucifer spoke

"Oh I'm sorry sir I was just..doing my job" alastor grinned and was laughing internally

"You little-..ggr whatever I'll just take Charlie to the park after school" Lucifer sat on the table.

A few moments later alastor came over and poured him a cup of coffee.

"Oh thanks" Lucifer grabbed the mug and took a sip and put his mug back down "you not gonna pour yourself one?"

"I'm quite alright, I prefer tea more" alastor put the eggs onto the table and on time as Charlie got back with her bag.

"Eggs!"

"C'mon darling and eat up you've got school!" Alastor sat with the two as he drank his tea

"Okay" Charlie started eating up her food

Alastor and Charlie continued to eat their breakfast as Lucifer drank his coffee and read the newspaper

He glanced at the two for a second noticing them having a conversation and it made him smile feeling happy that Charlie was someone else to feel comfortable with.

"C'mon kiddo gotta get you too school" Lucifer ruffled Charlies hair as she finished her food and drank her juice

"done!!!!" Charlie jumped off of her seat and grabbed her bag as she waited for alastor to finish since it was his turn to take Charlie to school.

"That child is full of energy it's so early" Lucifer mentioned as he glanced over to alastor

"Mhm, by the way Lucifer, is there anything you need I'm gonna buy some groceries at the mall

"Whatt your gonna go to the mall without me?" Charlie looked at alastor as she felt betrayed

"Well uh- I need to get some stuff done"

"Why can't I come" Charlie whined

"Well you'll be at school honey" Lucifer entered the conversation

"But pleaseee" Charlie looked at the both of them with those big eyes of hers

"Agh fine, we'll pick you up after school and we can go to the mall"

"YAY"

"Come now it's time to get you to school" alastor got up "and Lucifer don't you have a shop to open?"
