Chapter 24
I walked down the hall to the kitchen to get something to eat I was starving!
"Hello Luna how may we help you?" The kitchen maid asked
"Hi chi-chi I'm just going to make a sandwich" I smiled and opened the fridge
"But Alfa told us for you just to rest" she said cocking her head
"Well I'm Luna so please just let me make my sandwich, I'll talk to Kevin later" I smiled and pulled out the meat, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, and cucumbers.
"Chi-chi where's the mayo and mustered?" I asked
"We ran out last night, the boys had friends over" she said playing with the hem of her dress
"Oh well I'll just go get some from the store then" I replied and walked over to grab my keys
"But Luna, Alfa told us to keep you home for a few days. It's okay I'll send someone else" she replied taking my shoulder
"Chi-chi I'm fine" I replied
"No I'm sorry Luna but I can't disobey Alfa" she said holding her ground
"Fine, make it fast" I sighed and waved her off
I slid onto the stood and took out my phone calling up my cousin.
"Hey Nikki what's up?" She asked over the phone
"Hey Clare can I get my hair done soon?"
"Yeah sure let me look into the books" she replied
I yawned from the lack of sleep last night with Kevin and the meeting.
"Luna?" Someone called behind me
I turned around to see a tall man with dark brown hair and a five o'clock shadow. His eyes looked mysterious but they remedied me of a dark past.
"Roce?" I cocked my head
"Good guess love" he smiled
"Stay away from me" I said jumping off the stool
"I'm not going to hurt you love" he snickered and walked closer
I felt the same exact spot that he bruised me start to throb.
"I said stay away" I warned
I looked over and saw one of the guards taking a bite of a sandwich.
"Get him away from me" I commanded
He dropped his sandwich and ran over and handcuffed him.
I turned grabbing my chest in pain.
"Keep him" I heard a husky voice say
I spun around seeing Kevin and I could tell he was pissed and his wolf was out and about.
"I will take care of him" he said waving the guard off
"Kev?" I said taking a step forward
~ just watch
My wolf told me
I sucked in my breath and moved back.
"Come with me" he told roce pulling him from his handcuffs
I watched as Kevin and roce walked down the hall.
"Nicole I said come" he demanded
"Sorry I thought you were talking to him" I bowed
