Chapter 30

I jumped from the couch and backed up until my back hit the counter

"No it can't be, Kevin is my only mate" I stuttered

"Baby please this is hard for me to" he said getting up and walking close to me and stroking my hair out of my face.

I looked away but he cupped my chin leading my eyes to his.

"I love you" he stated

I shook my head and tried to get lose but his hands grabbed my waist bringing me to him.

"I love you" he repeated and this time he tried to kiss me but I moved my lips in the nick of time.

"Kiss me" he pleaded

I shook my head

"Fine be that way" he hissed and started sucking on my neck far away from my mate mark.

"Lets just leave, let's run away and not look back. Come on baby I know you feel the same" he whispered as he kissed and licked my neck

"No this is wrong. YOU KNOW I LOVE KEVIN HOW DARE YOU DO THIS TO ME!!" I yelled and slammed on the table

He moved back and now his eyes were pitch black

"What should I have done Nicole sit around for the rest of my life holding this in?!" He yelled

"We're not mates landen" I sniffled

I felt his hands grab my waist pulling me close to him

"But love we are" he whispered in my ear then started sucking on it

I shook my head and let tears drop from my eyes

"No. Kevin's my mate and no one will change that I'm sorry but I can't do this" I let the water works start. I felt Landen hold my head to his chest and sigh.

"Nikki" he said stroking my hair

I sniffled and moved my head so we could see eye to eye.

"I love Kevin" I repeated

He nodded and closed his eyes then reopening them showing his brown eyes again

"Thank you"

He nodded and kissed my head.

I moved off of him and slowly walked up the stairs then turned around to see him standing with tears in his eyes

I sighed and entered my room shutting the door and curling up in bed.

~Kev baby?

I linked as I clung on to my pillow

~hey love what's wrong?

~Kevin landen thinks he's my mate.

~did you tell him you have a mate?

I could hear his growl.

~yes but he won't stop it's like he's persistent on this.

~don't worry baby I'll talk to him just make sure you stay away from him. Damn I can't trust anyone there except you and Jason

I smiled thinking of Kevin with me in his arms. I want that I know it's only been three days but I miss him like crazy, all I want to do is run out of this bitter house and jump into Kevin's arms.

~I want the same thing but first I need to get this over with and I promise everything will get better

I sighed and clung harder to my pillow wishing it was Kevin.
