Summer is cold

I see the plants turning green

I see the flowers blossoming

I see the bright sun shining

But I feel so cold

I hear the birds that sing

I hear the people laughing

I hear the planes above buzzing

But I feel so cold

The sky is blue

And so am I

Although I won't cry

I feel my cheek between my teeth and so I chew

I look out my window,

Everything feels so distant

Nothing is consistent

I lean back in my pillow, I feel like a widow

But I don't know what I lost

Summer is coming and I am nothing but frost

I can't connect with the world around me

All this happiness is not for me.
