Little Star

Oh my little star, where did you go

Your twinkling disappeared from my vision

I let the salt burn my eyes as I sank so low

I forgot you had an ego

Oh my little star, tell me what happened

Your absence felt like thorns piercing through my skin

If you had let me see how you were burned

Maybe I wouldn't have felt so mean

Oh my little star, I'm afraid we were forced to part

She took you by the hand and so you had to follow

Now all I can do is turn your departure into art

But somehow the tears won't flow

Oh my little star, your light lacks to my night sky

I never wished for you to go this way

I'm afraid I can't fly this high

I'm doomed to say goodbye from far away.
