WE  had left school premises as soon as we could. We decided to meet up in the middle as JJ and I decided to go and inform Carter about what we were doing.

Riding onto JJ's bike, wind messing up our hairs and blowing by, we had sped in the direction of the hospital. We informed him about the letter that Pope received and told him that we were going to Charleston. Carter insisted that we waited until Jackson came back so he could come along with us support and if we needed more help.

But seeing as there isn't any time left, we denied. JJ and I had hurried rushed home afterwards, wanting to change out our clothes and wear some more comfortable ones if we were gonna be travelling to Charleston, which happens to be an eight-to-nine hour drive from mainland.

I had quickly changed into a pair of comfy shorts and a stripped shirt that I had knotted in the front to make it a crop top. JJ had changed his pants and worn his khaki shorts and a grey t-shirt to go with.

And of we go, again. This time walking to Pope's place, as he'd instructed us to do. He told us, he'd somehow arrange a vehicle for our transportation.

As soon as we arrived at his place, he was outside waiting, sitting in an old truck. I questioned silently, wondering were he could arrange it from, but ignoring it all, JJ and I settle in the passenger side.

And then we take off towards Kie's place. She'd gone to tell her parents that we were gonna go to Charleston.

Which brings us to now...sitting inside Pope's truck, while we cold clearly hear the...arguing and shouting that was happening on the balcony of the Carrera household.

Kie was frustrated, for sure.

"Her folks ae taking it really well, don't ya think?" I commented, scoffing slightly at the end.

"They sure do," JJ's voice dripped with sarcasm as he replied. I was sat between Pope and JJ. The car was crammed, I don't understand how four of us are gonna sit in this thing for eight hours. "So...how'd you get this rig? I know your old man didn't let you have it," JJ asked, his question directed at Pope, asking something I was curious about for the past 20 minutes.
