Fiora's pov

I carefully placed the dishes on the kitchen counter, relieved to finally have some peace and quiet after another tense dinner with Taehyung. As I made my way towards my room, I couldn't shake the feeling of his eyes boring into my back, watching my every move like a hawk.

Just as I was about to escape to the safety of my sanctuary, I heard a noise from the living room, a soft padding sound followed by the faint jingle of a collar. My heart skipped a beat as I froze in place, dread creeping up my spine.

Slowly, I turned around, half-expecting to come face-to-face with some terrifying monster straight out of a horror movie. But instead, I was met with the sight of a small, fluffy creature tilting its head curiously at me.

I gasped in disbelief, taking a few hesitant steps back as I stared at the dog standing before me. Yeontan, Taehyung's beloved pet. Of all the things I could have encountered in that moment, this was the last thing I wanted.

I've never been a fan of dogs. In fact, I've always been downright terrified of them. Call it an irrational fear, call it a traumatic childhood experience—I don't care. The point is, the sight of Yeontan sent shivers down my spine and set my heart racing.

As the tiny dog continued to watch me with those big, curious eyes, I couldn't help but feel a sense of panic rising within me. What if it decided to pounce on me out of nowhere? What if it sensed my fear and attacked?

I tried to muster up some  courage, but my legs felt like jelly beneath me, refusing to move an inch. I cursed under my breath, berating myself for being such a coward in the face of a harmless little furball.

But then, to my utter horror, Yeontan took a step forward, closing the distance between us. I let out a strangled squeak, stumbling backwards in a desperate attempt to put some much-needed distance between myself and the dog.

"Stay back!" I blurted out, my voice trembling with fear as I held out a trembling hand, as if that would somehow ward off the approaching me.

To my surprise, Yeontan stopped in his tracks, cocking his head to the side as if trying to make sense of my erratic behavior. For a moment, we stood there locked in a silent standoff, neither of us quite sure what to do next.

And then, much to my relief, Taehyung appeared in the doorway, a bemused expression on his face as he took in the scene before him. "What's going on here?" he asked, a hint of amusement in his voice.

I shot him a glare, my cheeks burning with embarrassment as I struggled to regain my composure. "Your... your dog," I stammered, pointing a shaky finger at Yeontan, "he... he startled me."

Taehyung's lips twitched in amusement as he scooped up his furry companion, offering me a reassuring smile. "Don't worry, he won't hurt you," he said, his tone surprisingly gentle. "He's just curious."

I nodded weakly, still trying to calm my racing heart as I watched them disappear into the living room. As the adrenaline slowly began to fade, I couldn't help but shake my head in disbelief.
