I didn't realize how serious fame was until the cameras were everywhere and hands were on me...[Selene]

Selene sat next to Oakley waiting for the paparazzi to stop taking their pictures. The lights on their black cameras flashed rapidly as she smiled at the table. Her thigh bounced up and down riddled with anxiety.

Oakley rubbed his warm hand along her curvy thigh, "You okay?"

"How long is this gonna take?" Selene whispered as more press gathered in the room.

He shrugged, "They love interviewing me so it could take a while."

"Oh please."

Selene quieted as fans walked into their reserved spaces waving their posters and album covers. She stood taking her place with Star and Alex feeling the adrenaline rush. She bumped Star, "This is your favorite part right?"

Star smirked waving to the cheering girls at the front of the line, "Hell yeah."

Selene took a deep breath at the dwindling line.  Her hand shook from signing her name over and over again. Her cheeks hurt from smiling and her back felt tight.

"Last one ladies." Mrs. C spoke pointing to the group of guys smiling.

Selene's stomach felt tight as they came over immediately surrounding them. Walid stood off to the side mugging the men, "Easy there fellas."

Their touchy hands left their bodies allowing the girls to breathe. Mrs. C cleared her throat silently thanking Walid, "One picture and we're done."

Selene posed feeling a hand creep down her back. With nostrils flared she stood waiting to hear the click of the shutter. After the pictures were downloaded the men sauntered away shouting obscenities in the venue.

Selene rolled her eyes, "Well that made me feel sick."

Star smiled trying to ease Solene's anxiety, "Bodies make the money."

"To what extent though? Those girls weren't all up on Cench." Alex rebutted earning a glare from Oakley.

"Cuz I'm nice like dat beautiful." Oakley blew a fake kiss to the girls.

Nadine came marching through with her clipboard, "Let's get on the bus, please. We're moving to the next city for the club performance."

Selene leaned into Alex, "We're still performing our new song right?"

"Mhm. As long as Nadine doesn't find out we changed the track list we're good."

"Ladies! Let's go!" Nadine shouted from the bus as they loaded gear into the storage spaces.

"Uh, give me a second. I'm going to use the bathroom." Selene handed Alex her bag before shuffling towards the bathroom.

"Wait," Alex whispered trying to stop her from going by herself.

But Selene was already at the door. She took a deep breath and sauntered to a stall locking it behind her. Her custom jean jacket blended with the dark blue tile floor.

Selene rested her head against the cool tan door trying to calm herself. The door creaked open with an eerie tone. Selene lifted her head, "Alex? I said I'm fine."

The silence continued. Then the banging started. It was slow at first but then it rapidly picked up scaring Selene into oblivion.

BANG. BANG. BANG.

Selene opened the bathroom door thinking it was Star or Alex, "That's not funny!"

She gasped seeing the cracked bathroom mirror. The shiny shards covered the floor but that wasn't what made her take a step back. The word 'WHORE' was written on the bathroom wall in red lipstick.

"Oh my God." Selene felt nauseous as she tugged on the door handle trying to escape the tiny bathroom.

She groaned twisting the door handle. It was locked. Selene looked over her shoulder at the stained wall and shredded mirror. To her, it seemed like the walls were closing in. Her vision blurred as the hyperventilation started.

BANG. BANG. BANG.

"Just leave me alone!"

Craddled in a fetal position Selene felt her chest caving in. Her hands flew to her eyes trying not to pass out. The door creaked open and her body trembled. Oakley appeared creeping down to her level.

"Selene, it's me!"

Selene's eyes met his glazed over in fear.

"It's me, baby."

"I finally got her to sleep." Mrs. C pulled her sweater closer to her body.

Nadine, Mrs. C, and the rest of the artists sat in the hotel suite across the hall from the artists' secured bedrooms.

"What the fuck is going on?" Nadine looked at Star and Alex.

Remy sighed, "Just tell em."

Star squinted her eyes at Remy before biting her lip, "I think she's got a stalker."

Mrs. C scoffed, "Y'all just now telling me this?"

"Not telling Claudine, not telling me! I'm running this tour." Nadine's voice made them flinch, her tone harsh.

"Listen, it's not like we knew." Alex stood up straight looking taller.

"Clear the room so we can figure this out." Mrs. C waved her hand.

The girls held hands making their way to check on Selene. Star turned at the last second facing the upset faces, "She's more than just our bandmate. We want her safe too. She's our sister."

Mrs. C waited for the rest of the artists to leave before turning to Oakley, "What you still doing here?"

"The tour must go on, Claudine. They can't afford to pay back the label if they recant." Nadine scribbled on her clipboard.

"That girl is scared. She just can't go on stage like that without protection-"

Oakley cleared his throat, "What if Walid takes on security duties."

Walid was still standing at his post when Oakley spoke. Mrs. C turned to Nadine in hopes of a solution.

"What's your qualifications?"

"Oh he's qualified enough," Oakley spoke.

"Five years as a Navy Seal and a private security guard for four. Wherever she goes I go. It's simple." Walid spoke with ease.

"Welcome to the team but Oakley you're paying for this." Mrs. C smiled.

"Yes ma'am."

At least she'd be safe for now.
