I don't know why, for many girls their teenage years are filled with insecu- rities. Do you feel inferior and not good enough for your peers? Do you feel self conscious of the way you look? Comparing yourself to popular pretty girls, so you feel pressured to look perfect, cursing under your breath every flaw you have (when it's so normal for teenagers to have flaws. And frankly, most teenagers aren't perfect, even if they seem like it). Or do you scrutinize your looks, correlating it to why your crush doesn't like you back or why the hot, popular boys won't look your way.
What is girlhood, if not suffering.
Funny how we're so hypercritical of our bodies, when for some of us it's the skinniest we'll ever be.
