I will miss
you and your wool suits,
being your weekend muse,
and our lazy Sunday afternoons.
I will miss your dimples and half moons
as your lips curl into a smile,
and your laughter filled the room.
I will miss
your sandpaper stubble to touch
and your sharp eyebrows as they arched
at my mischievous suggestions.
And though serious you were,
you were always playful with me
and I loved that the most.
I will miss
sinking into your body and arms
and drowning in your warmth,
your kind gestures to strangers,
and marvelling at your beautiful soul
and being proud that you were my man.
