(Authors note: For the sake of the story, Moray is referred to as a female, I didn't know they were AMAB non-binary so please don't get upset over it, it's fiction after all.)

The doors to the train open as the group and the rest of the passengers exit the train. Everyone seemed shocked at how hot and humid the weather was down there. Martlet took one of her wings and fanned herself. Dalv took a part of his cape and began to fan himself as well. Ceroba was partially intimidated by the heat, but Starlo and the rest of the feisty five loved it. Even at night, the temperature in Florida was hot.

Martlet continued to fan herself as she turned to Clover. "Yeesh, what's the temperature?"

Clover pulled out his phone and checked the weather. "100 degrees Fahrenheit."

"Farenheit?"

"It's how The United States measures temperature."

"What is it in Celsius?"

"38 degrees."

"Then why does it feel hotter here than the Wild East."

Clover shrugged his shoulders. "Beats me."

Ceroba gathers everyone's attention once again. "OK everyone the hotel is just a 3-block walk from here by the beach so stick together; oh and Starlo told me that there was some drama going on with some of you so I'm only going to say this once. Grow up you're adults act like it; now let's get going."

They all begin following behind Ceroba and Starlo. Martlet reaches and holds one of Clover's hands as they begin to follow. "Is it just me or do Ceroba and Starlo seem like they are a lot closer than usual?"

"I don't know; I knew Starlo liked my mom. I heard somewhere that Starlo locked himself inside his home when Mom married Chujin."

"Everyone knew that; even Chujin knew how Starlo felt."

"Well now that Chujins passed away and Mom has moved on it looks like he's shooting his shot."

Martlet giggles at Clover. "So how does that make you feel knowing Starlo might date your Mom."

"Well, Starlos is like a father to me so it wouldn't bother me."

"So it would bother you if he kissed her in front of you?"

"Eh, I would just kiss you in front of them as payback."

The two laugh as they continue following the rest of the group. Martlet takes in all of the sights of her new surroundings. She could see palm trees and colorful buildings all around her. She could hear the sound of cars driving by as other humans walked and laughed enjoying their night. "Wow, all these other humans seem to be enjoying the atmosphere."

"Don't get your hopes up about the residents here; some of them are a bit crazy," Clover said twirling his finger near his head.

"What makes them crazy?"

"Oh, just some crackheads trying to tame an alligator, or trying to have a knife fight with the cops."

"That sounds awful, why would this place be nice if that's common?"

"Don't worry it's not common; Florida displays every crime committed on a public record so people just make fun of the state for it."

"That's a relief; I do not want to deal with some crazy human trying to hurt us."

"That's why I brought my revolver."

"Didn't you promise never to hurt anyone ever again?"

"I said I would never kill another monster."
