In the bustling heart of a metropolitan city, Felix Everhart, a talented yet unknown painter in his mid-20s, dreams of fame and recognition. His chance for a breakthrough comes unexpectedly when he receives a mysterious call from an acquaintance, of...
Two weeks had passed, and the portrait was still incomplete.
Every day, Aurelia would either request food, claim she was not in the mood, or take Felix for a walk in the garden.
One day, Felix was chatting with Austin about the palace and its history. Later, upon returning to his room, he noticed the door was slightly ajar.
Stepping inside, he found Aurelia seated on his bed, flipping through his landscape paintings.
Displeased that she had entered without permission and was going through his belongings, Felix approached her and took his paintings from her hands.
This sudden action startled her, causing her to jerk back. Standing up, she grabbed her umbrella as Felix addressed her.
"You know, it's not proper to enter someone's room without their permission, let alone go through their belongings," Felix remarked, his voice firm.
Aurelia, however, merely smiled with amusement. "This is my palace, so every room is mine, and I can enter any room I please, whenever I please," she retorted casually, tossing his paintings onto the bed.
"Besides, your paintings aren't even that good; they look like they were done by a child."
Her words stung, and Felix felt his anger rise.
"What do you even think of yourself, huh?" he shouted, his frustration evident. "You can't just barge into someone's room and insult their work! My paintings might not be to your liking, but they are a reflection of my passion and hard work. You have no right to belittle them."
In return Aurelia left the room while closing the door behind her.
Felix sat on his bed, staring at his paintings, pondering Aurelia's words.
Were his paintings truly that lacking? Was this why he struggled to gain fame and recognition?
Lost in thought, he suddenly heard the sound of rain outside, the heavy downpour audible even indoors.

Without fully understanding his actions, he dashed out of his room, through the corridors, and out into the garden, where the rain poured down upon him, soaking him to the bone.
As he stood there, the rain mixing with his tears, a wave of emotion overcame him, and he began to cry.
Meanwhile, Aurelia watched from her window, observing his breakdown. Closing the curtains, she gestured for a servant to fetch Austin.
Minutes later, Austin arrived, and Aurelia instructed him, "Mr. Everhart is out in the rain. He could catch a cold in this winter weather. Please bring him to his room."
Austin nodded and hurried outside. When he reached the garden, he found Felix unconscious. Calling another servant for help, Austin carefully carried Felix back to his room.
